it was starting to just feel like summer, the sun was a little brighter, the clothes of the party goers became shorter, and the heat from the tan zelda got yesterday was still clinging to her skin. the buzz of the party helped to distract the blonde from the fact that in a few short months all of this ways gonna change. most the people in this room, including her, were all going to be across the country going to different schools. she couldn’t help but feel a twinge of sadness, she had spent four years with these people, some much longer, and even though the feel of summer was all around, the feeling that things were ending was lurking in the corner. making her way to the spot on the couch she crossed her legs waiting for someone, truly anyone at this point to bring her a drink. it was just part of zelda’s vibe, she had this ability of attracting people without even trying. maybe it was her i don’t care attitude, or how her confidence never relied on whether or not you thought she was pretty. she knew she was and she didn’t need your approval to know it. of course there were some people who didn’t like her, and she wasn’t phase by them either. feeling a body collapse next to her she knew based on the cologne alone who it was. “sebastian.” she said leaning closer to him grabbing the other drink from his hand taking a sip. sebastian was her very best friend, sometimes they would hook up, sometimes they would see other people, but through it all the two remained close through thick and thin. whe he moved closer his lips along her lobe she smirked noticing his ex glaring at the two of them intently. “she’s watching.” she said moving her hand on his thigh and smirked. “of course I missed you, even though I saw you this morning.” she said knowing the both knew damn well she woke up in his bed this morning. those damn dimples, his nickname for her, those eyes, the boy was like a drug to her and she had to fight ever urge not to kiss him right there and then. “why thank you.” she said pushing her hair off her shoulder, already knowing she came dressed to kill tonight. 

She could feel her blood beginning to boil, it was so like her so called fiancé to waltz into the party like he wasn’t an hour late. sure he had to work, but she knew he was hiding out and trying to avoid any responsibility that came with this relationship, or rather arrangement. grabbing him by the arm she pulled him into their shared bedroom, although what the guest didn’t know was the amount of times she made her so called love sleep on the couch in the corner of the room. she turned when the male began to undress annoyed that despite her distain for him there was still the smallest hint of attraction to him. he was a good looking man yes, but he wasn’t the man she picked for herself and for that reason, and many others she had a feeling of annoyance whenever he was in the room with her. peaking over as he made his half assed excuse about work and she noticed him in his boxers, feeling her cheeks flush a little she finished off the champagne in her glass until it was empty. “how about you do what you do best and worry about yourself.” she said her tone sharp, she was so annoyed when he pretended like he cared at all what she did. “well I had to deal with them while you had your little work emergency if I do pass out you’ll be fine.” she said snapping at him and looked up and down quickly. “could you maybe i don’t know, hurry it along.” she said snapping her fingers. “yeah well he isn’t the only one.” she said knowing the man and his father had a pretty strained relationship so she softened her tone a little. “it’s fine i’ll think of some lame excuse for why you were late.” she said not sure why she was willing to help him at this point.

summer before college was a thrilling, yet scary time. it was all sebastian’s friends could talk about; it was all anyone could talk about really. so many parties, and trips being planned it made the male’s head spin. the first party to be thrown was tonight and of course seb came with his best friend, zelda. taking a quick shot of whatever clear liquid was handed to him, he grabbed two red solo cups and headed back to where zelda was sitting. the girl’s golden blonde hair and pristine features occupied the male’s gaze. she was by far the prettiest girl in their grade and he was still taken back every time he saw her. not only was she beautiful, she had a caring heart and sebastian would be lost without her. the two have been best friends since diapers and everyone knew how attached the two were. everyone including sebastian’s ex girlfriend who was extremely jealous of the pair. she had every right to be since seb and zelda would fool around even while he was in a relationship. sitting down next to bombshell, he handed her a cup. “ miss me?” he joked, his tone deep but light when speaking to her, a dimpled grin now emerging. leaning in, his lips brushed against the lobe of her ear. “ you look beautiful tonight, birdie.” he whispered, pulling away slightly so his brown hues could look into her green ones.
