Su is bad now but amethyst is still good

so she spends the episode trying to get into baby steven’s head. he starts crawling over to something, she goes to investigate it with him. he lies down giggling at a mobile above him, she lies down next to him to see what’s so great about it. she copies his expressions, his movements, to try to understand him, because isn’t that such a garnet thing to do?

and maybe like… there’s a storm going on or something, and steven is really scared cause he’s a little baby and lightning is loud! so garnet shows him that while she’s around, lightning isn’t gonna hurt him, because she can control it. and baby steven thinks that garnet controlling the loud scary thing is SO COOL!! and he’s just giggling and cooing while she makes sparks jump around (making sure not to hit him with them of course, maybe he can just stay in the high chair while she does it).

steven doesn’t say anything being a baby until the end of the episode when greg comes to pick him up, and steven goes “ba-ba gah-net!” or something. and garnet just. fucking melts. BECAUSE HIS FIRST WORD IS “GARNET”. like she’s just going triple star eyes oh my stars STEVEN LIKES HER!! steven thinks she’s cool!

we know like 10 of her hobbies/interests, ranging from swordfighting to cleaning to baking to engineering. she gets a dozen different roles - the rebel, the swordfighter, the teacher, the mourning lover, the doting mom, the scientist, the dancer, the pilot, the nerd, the snob, the most self sacrificing… 

garnet and ame get nothing in comparison. all those text posts memes like “what the gems’ blogs are like” or w/e have unique, spot on choices for pearl…then ame is the “funny prankster one” and garnets is “blank blog w/ no posts” or “posts abt how gay she is” after jailbreak. bc thats what theyre reduced to in the show
