Megatron blinks, thinking he’s misheard, but the way you’re staring down Magnus proves he hasn’t. He looks to Rodimus next to him, who seems equally as surprised and has stopped his vandalism of the desk. Ultra Magnus himself looks unsure, if a bit flustered. The problem seems to be shelved for later, since Magnus awkwardly tries to resume the meeting without another comment. The rest of the meeting consists of the liaison meeting every moment of eye contact with stone cold apathy and Megatron and Rodimus attempting to ignore the heavy tension in the room.

Megatron knows what he’s doing isn’t helpful in the long run, but with so many Vehicon deaths recently he feels like the Decepticons desperately need an advantage. Starscream is the first to notice how irate he’s become and tries to convince Megatron to rest a little more often. He complies, but it does nothing to fix his demeanor and only makes the Second in Command worry more. The moment even Optimus himself is shocked at how brutal he is in a fight, he begins to wonder if he’s gone too far and confesses to his command what he’s been doing. Unfortunately, the Autobots launch an attack on the Nemesis soon after and the Decepticons suffer heavy losses. There isn’t anything that his soldiers can do now to convince Megatron that using the substance costs too much.

Rodimus definitely has a favorite human and everyone knows it. He likes having someone around that can appreciate all the fun stuff he can do, not just his amazing captaining skills that may or may not include kicking Decepticon can. Secretly he also likes that he won’t be judged for being immature.
