Dear the 100 writers, How does it feel to kill off a mentally deprived, exhausted, ill, kid? How does it feel to kill off a kid suffering from PTSD, depression and anxiety? IN MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WEEK?

This is the dumbest move y'all could’ve made. What about the depressed people watching your show? You make it seem as though recovery ain’t possible, and that it’ll never get better. This is so stupid, you make it seem like you can’t move on after you’ve lost someone, and after you’ve been through so much shit.

You gave us false hope.

I have only watched part one so far, but see from posts on here that it’s legit. Spoilers and rant under the cut

Of course Travis loved Chris, he was just too late to help him. Travis was so focused on his new family and disassociated from how Chris was coping. Yes, Chris chose to leave, but as a parent, it was Travis's job to protect Chris and he failed him. He should have taken action and not let Chris leave even if it came down to killing those boys which he ended up doing anyway. The story is trying to make that exact point. Travis will be bothered that he didn't kill them sooner because it would have changed everything. I see what the writers were trying to do; have Chris share the same fate that he allowed baby James. They tried to make it come full circle, but for me, it was a flop because Chris has been with us since the beginning; he should have gotten a death we were with him for rather than told and shown through Travis's imagining of it, but this is all about Travis and how it changes him after all.

This show is about the Clark family and Travis is a part of that. Liza and Chris were used to alter Travis's character, that's really about it. Chris's death was too predictable since we knew he was the only character they saw as expendable. We knew they wouldn't touch the Clark family. I don't much care for the way the whole thing was played out, but basically it comes down to the writing. It isn't so much about how the characters reacted or choices they made (I thought a lot of moments were OOC for multiple characters this season like they completely forgot season 1 even happened!) It's just the way the writers chose to make the story play out that I disagreed with. We saw everything that happened from Travis's perspective and the aftermath of him finding out. It was all meant to flip the switch for Travis and be a plot point for his character development.

If you found a lesson in there, that's truly great. "Stay with your parents" or listen to your parents when they have your best interest is a very important lesson. Hopefully people can find meaning or reason in it, but I will only ever see it as a tool in Travis's storyline. Also, the two guys were in the truck bed but flipped out untouched/with only a popped shoulder? puh-lease. But why search for logic lol after all, it is just a show.
