So got out my Hake brush and through caution to the wind and had a go at doing a landscape which was alot of fun as I don't really paint them.

I ended up only using one of the colours from the set of 3 which was haze indigo.

The paint was lovely to work with and created some interesting effects. The granulation was fabulous to watch but I had to resist fiddling with it and just let it do it's thing... which was soooo hard and yes... I fiddled with it and poked it alot with the paint brush! 🙄... Maybe one day I'll learn to just leave it🤔

Although this is mainly watercolour I did use a little bit of coloured pencil and white gel pen to add a couple of highlights.

Still feel very cack-handed using the silver leaf, just haven't found the knack yet, but I got it on and stuck down so I guess that's the main thing! - Any tips would be more than welcomed😊

This piece has gone through so many ugly duckling stages that I lost count!

I used Daniel Smiths watercolor ground which I saw Stephanie Law use on her YouTube channel to do the crescent moon.

You can't really see from the picture but it's added a lovely texture to the moon. Its a very interesting product to work with and I would definitely recommend it.

He reminds me that transition and transformation is only the beginning and changes are possible!
