“Do you want something for that? I should have some aspirin or something stronger if you need.”

“I already took some,” Christian replied. “I just have to get through this day so I can nap.”

PJ couldn’t help but laugh, “Sorry, couldn’t help myself. It is pretty funny.”

“Come on, don’t say you haven’t got your your ass kicked by Nate before.”

Anyone who knew Charlotte knew that she was not a morning person in any capacity, which wasn’t great when it was combined with being a light sleeper. That was the only reason she was ever able to stay up late when they had a sleepover, any other day she would be out usually before ten. Hearing Christian move around was more than enough to wake Charlotte out of her sleep. Her eyes opened slowly, not wanting to be awake at all, “It’s okay,” She spoke in a soft, quiet voice as she stifled a yawn. It took Charlotte a moment to realise what was happening but once it processed Charlotte knew he wasn’t okay. They had been friends for so long that she could just know, she sat up, her eyes still misty from sleep and put her hand on his shoulder, “What’s happened?” 

Christian let out the best deep breath that he could manage. He ran his hands over his face. “It’s nothing, just a nightmare,” he replied. “You should go back to bed.”

“Do you feel okay?” she squinted slightly at the other. “You’re looking a little pale,” Kendall added.

Christian put his head in his hands. “Not really,” he replied. “I have such a migraine.”

“Not even little white lies?”

Christian shook his head. “Don’t really have anything to lie about.”

“See, I don’t really feel like dying today and I’m sure Zeus would find a way to get me.” She said, her tone light as she spoke in jest although Charlotte knew Zeus could find a way if she said the wrong thing. “I’m sure Apollo could take one for the team and take over for an afternoon. That way, we could actually go do something.” Charlotte spoke with a sigh, as if she had major things planned for the day that were hindered from the weather. “Can we mark today as a write off?”  

“Come on Charlotte, let’s please go out and enjoy the sun and heat. It’s legit the only think I miss of Florida.”

“You know Nate, he would never make it easy.”

“Very true,” Christian replied. “One can hope though, right?”

“You don’t tell lies? Well that can’t be true. Everybody lies sometimes.”

“Not me,” Christian replied.

“Don’t you think it would be a bit obvious for him to hide things of yours in here though? Wouldn’t it make more sense for him to go for a random cabin?”

“That’s very true,” Christian replied. “But I was hoping it would be at least a little easy.”

“You made it seem like you’d hurt someone or told a massive lie or something.”

“Oh, I don’t tell lies,” he replied. “Or hurt people for that matter, at least not on purpose.”

Charlotte shook her head, “He just needs to get his shit together, can’t we just have one nice even temperature everywhere?” She said, her hands moving as she spoke. “I’d even go for some rain at this point.” 

“I think the weather is more Zeus’ job than Apollo’s,” Christian replied. “Then again, I’ve always been shit at Greek History.”

“Forget all about it in hopes it goes away,” Nate shrugged.

“You know, that explains a lot coming from you,” Christian replied.

“And that’s the mistake? You phrased that in a very dramatic way, O’Hare.”

“Dramatic? Why is it dramatic?”

“Nate doesn’t hide things in my cabin,” PJ paused and furrowed his brow, “… that I know of.”

“You should uh, check on that, sometimes the Poseidon kids play pranks on each other and hide each other’s things. I once found Emilia’s toothbrush in my cabin? Which one of them who hid it there, I’ll never know.”
