She said, âDonât call the doctor, I want to fall asleep peacefully, with your hand in mine.â He told her about the past, how they met, their first kiss. They didnât cry, they smiled. They didnât regret anything, they were grateful. Then she repeated softly, âI love you forever!â He returned her words, gave her a soft kiss on the forehead. She closed her eyes and fell asleep peacefully with her hand in his.
Love is really all that matters because everyone comes into this world with nothing other than love and leaves with nothing other than love. Think about it. Profession, career, bank account, our goods are just tools, nothing more. Everything stays here. So just loveâŚ.Love those who really love you. Love, as if there was nothing more important in your life.

At what age do people start saying this? It's supposed to sound like a compliment, but really, it's an unintentional slam. Next time say, "I look good at any age."

Here we are 20 years later.... And their last word on the Afghan front was to murder some poor sap bringing home water...and his entire family to make it seem like some old fool in the white house was on the ball and calling it ISIS k...
Never forget...they sent 5000 soldiers (13 were killed) to take care of hundreds of thousands of people on the Afghan front because president Marbles is a complete mess.
They sent 26000 troops to the capitol to protect 500 elected officials from a bunch of clowns taking selfies!
OMG . . . . . talk about a Cluster F***k. This thoroughly incompetent regime of REAL domestic terrorists can't even effectively target the REAL enemy. It is beyond belief. What will they do next? Try to "take out" some ISIS fighters and instead hit some MORE of the American troops over there?
Ya know, if I were someone who believed in grand conspiracies, I might be inclined to believe that losing Afghanistan was as purposeful as allowing more than a million illegals to cross a now non-existent border, or that multi-trillion dollar spending bills are a way to debase the currency, or that the "curious" and in some cases unconstitutional machinations surrounding the 2020 election were all for the same purpose--as in completely debasing America, and then every other nation state to eliminate democracies, and move to one world totalitarian governance.
But then there's no such thing as The Great Reset. Right?!?đ
Biden...
Walking away from questions. Walking away from leadership. Walking away from responsibility. Walking away from the American people. Why is he here?

Iâm just curious where are the Americans that have been rescued? Why is there no interviews with them? Why are we only seeing the Afghanis at the airport and on the planes?
LATEST POLL:
All 40,000 Americans trapped in Afghanistan wish President Trump was in the White House.đ
As a Marine, I take special umbrage at mocking the Iwo Jima flag raising. We know the enemy!
This situation is well beyond disastrous and time for both democrats and republicans to seriously consider removing Biden from office. Not that Harris will do any better but at least its a recognition that Biden is not physically or mentality fit for office. His handlers are trying to "finesse" Biden through this mess by having him give meaningless speeches on Afghanistan without taking questions. The chaos he's already created in our economy, border, energy, Covid, etc. can not and should not continue. Republican's get some spine and take action to save our country.
This is one of the most abysmal military failures in American history. Honorable generals would immediately resign. Eisenhower actually wrote his resignation letter the night before D-day, knowing that if the landing was a failure, it was his failure. Our current crop of military leaders have no such sense of honor. They have already proven that by obsessing with woke indoctrination of their commands, and purging any conservative elements from the ranks while this debacle unfolded. Yes it is Joe Biden's call, and failure, but the general's failure to convince him of the folly, if they even tried, should have also resulted in their resignations, rather than allowing this to occur.

Why would you leave U.S. military hardware behind to the enemy unless you are allied with the enemy!?
CEMETERY WATCHMEN
This is a truthful and honest account from an old volunteer marine as he, while volunteering at a national cemetery in Oklahoma and how he helped an 85 year old ex-marine wife as she made what she thought may be her last trip to the cemetery to honor her family members from her father, to her uncle, to her husband and also to her two sons, all of them marines who had died in service to this great nation of ours.
My friend Kevin and I are volunteers at a National cemetery in Oklahoma and put in a few days a month in a âslightly largerâ uniform. Today had been a long, long day and I just wanted to get the day over with and go down to Smokeyâs and have a cold one. Sneaking a look at my watch, I saw the time, 16:55. Five minutes to go before the cemetery gates are closed for the day.
The full dress was hot in the August sun. Oklahoma summer time was as bad as everâthe heat and humidity at the same levelâboth too high.
I saw the car pull into the drive, â69 or â70 model Cadillac Deville, looked factory-new. It pulled into the parking lot at a snailâs pace. An old woman got out so slow I thought she was paralyzed; she had a cane and a sheaf of flowersâabout 4 or 5 bunches as best I could tell.
I couldnât help myself. The thought came unwanted, and left a slightly bitter taste:
âSheâs going to spend an hour, and for this old soldier, my hip hurts like hell and Iâm ready to get out of here right now!â Â But for this day, my duty was to assist anyone coming in.
Kevin would lock the âInâ gate and if I could hurry the old lady along, we might make it to Smokeyâs in time.
I broke post attention. My hip made gritty noises when I took the first step and the pain went up a notch. I must have made a real military sight: Â middle-aged man with a small pot gut and half a limp, in marine full-dress uniform, which had lost its razor crease about thirty minutes after I began the watch at the cemetery.
I stopped in front of her, halfway up the walk. She looked up at me with an old womanâs squint.
âMa'am, may I assist you in any way?â
She took long enough to answer.
âYes, son. Can you carry these flowers? I seem to be moving a tad slow these days.â
âMy pleasure, ma'am.â (Well, it wasnât too much of a lie.)
She looked again. âMarine, where were you stationed?â
âVietnam, ma'am. Â Ground-pounder. â69 to â71.ââ
She looked at me closer. âWounded in action, I see. Well done, Marine. Iâll be as quick as I can.â
I lied a little bigger: Â "No hurry, ma'am.â
She smiled and winked at me. âSon, Iâm 85 years old and I can tell a lie from a long way off. Letâs get this done. Might be the last time I can do this. My nameâs Joanne Wieserman, and Iâve a few Marines Iâd like to see one more time.â
âYes, ma âam. At your service.â
She headed for the World War I section, stopping at a stone. She picked one of the flower bunches out of my arm and laid it on top of the stone.
She murmured something I couldnât quite make out. Â The name on the marble was Donald S. Davidson, USMC: France 1918.
She turned away and made a straight line for the World War II section, stopping at one stone I saw a tear slowly tracking its way down her cheek.
She put a bunch on a stone; the name was Stephen X. Davidson, USMC, 1943.
She went up the row a ways and laid another bunch on a stone, Stanley J. Wieserman, USMC, 1944.
She paused for second and more tears flowed. Â "Two more, son, and weâll be done.â
I almost didnât say anything, but, âYes, ma'am. Take your time.â
She looked confused. Â "Whereâs the Vietnam section, son? I seem to have lost my way.â
I pointed with my chin. Â "That way, ma'am.â
âOh!â she chuckled quietly. âSon, me and old age ainât too friendly.â
She headed down the walk Iâd pointed at. She stopped at a couple of stones before she found the ones she wanted. She placed a bunch on Larry Wieserman, USMC, 1968, and the last on Darrel Wieserman, USMC, 1970.
She stood there and murmured a few words I couldnât make out and more tears flowed.
âOK, son, Iâm finished. Get me back to my car and you can go home.â
âYes, ma'am. If I may ask, were those your kinfolk?â
She paused.
âYes, Donald Davidson was my father, Stephen was my uncle, Stanley was my husband, Larry and Darrel were our sons. All killed in action, all Marines.â
She stopped. Â Whether she had finished, or couldnât finish, I donât know. Â She made her way to her car, slowly and painfully.
I waited for a polite distance to come between us and then double-timed it over to Kevin, waiting by the car.
âGet to the âOutâ gate quick. I have something Iâve got to do.â
Kevin started to say something but saw the look I gave him. He broke the rules to get us down the service road fast. We beat her.
She hadnât made it around the rotunda yet.
âKevin, stand at attention next to the gatepost. Follow my lead.â
I humped it across the drive to the other post.
When the Cadillac came puttering around from the hedges and began the short straight traverse to the gate, I called in my best gunnyâs voice:
âTehen Hut! Â Present arms!â
I have to hand it to Kevin; he never blinked an eyeâfull dress attention and a salute that would make his DI proud.
She drove through that gate with two old worn-out soldiers giving her a send-off she deserved, for service rendered to her country, and for knowing duty, honor and sacrifice far beyond the realm of most.
I am not sure, but I think I saw a salute returned from that Cadillac.
Instead of âThe End,â just think of âTaps.â
As a final thought on my part, let me share a favorite prayer:
âLord, keep our servicemen and women safe, whether they serve at home or overseas. Â Hold them in your loving hands and protect them as they protect us. Â Letâs all keep those currently serving and those who have gone before in our thoughts. They are the reason for the many freedoms we enjoy. Â In God We Trustâ
If we ever forget that weâre one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under!
God Bless America!
AMEN
