I am 21 yo mixed girl (half black) from France and I hate my blackess. My self hatred is so huge that it affect all my life and I feel like it push people away (even if they do not no exactly that I hate myself for being black) I'm going to be honest, I feel inferior to non black women. I mean I feel like society, people made me hate myself. I guess its not just an impression, because I see how are non-black girl ((white, asian, white arab, white latina or half black girl looking ethnically ambigious....) are loved, desired, seeing as soft girl and shit compared to me. I see how men look at non-black girl admirating them and it disgust me. I hate society and I hate so much non-black girls. They are loved by most men and I hate to know that girls who looks like me are undesired. 

They need to read The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison followed swiftly by Tar Baby. Expeditiously.

Sometimes the whole “we were kings and queens” saying bothers me. Why do we have to say we (or ancestors) were kings and queens to feel better? It’s okay to just be average, most people were...Not everyone on the continent of Africa were royalty and thats okay! That doesn’t detract from how amazing were are as a group and individually. Also, ‘queens and kings’ are western terms, if we’re gonna say it, we should find the words said by our African ancestors to describe leaders in the native lang.
