Film, Travel, Etc.

In a nutshell, that is how I can describe my settling in in Spain.  It's been challenge after challenge since I arrived but I am learning that this is what life experience is all about. This is what I asked for when I decided to pick up my bags and travel to a foreign country for 6 months! And I'm still grateful for it all. I've made so many friends already and seen some amazing things, that I know it's worth it.

Re-reading The Alchemist (my fave book of all time) has really helped me get through it all, and put things in perspective.

The struggle is only temporary, and I need to embrace every moment, even the uncomfortable ones. I know it will all work out in the end!

Next steps for me are getting a job, and learning catalan and practicing my spanish.

I'm also planning to get a wordpress up soon and continue my blogging on there and leave my tumblr for photos and quotes and articles and stuff. That way I can keep more than just a blog in one place!

Anyway, we're getting ready to go to a very nice tapas restaurant, I'm excited!

It's been more or less a month of stress regarding my visa application for Spain coming up. BUT as of now I have everything I need and I am planning to submit it all tomorrow morning. I am incredibly nervous as I have never had to do this before... and I hope everything turns out okay!

I tend to worry a lot about insignificant things. I tend to make a mountain over a mole hill. But I'm hoping that all my worrying and stress will pay off in (what I think) is a diligent application.

Just found out that the film I made in Ecuador, SIGO ADELANTE, will be getting an extra push into festivals from the program coordinators at Actuality Media!!

Making this film was anything but easy, yet it was a story I'm glad I got to tell and I'm very proud of the outcome.
