Skulle du kunna fÜrklara hur man berättar om tid pü svenska? Süna uttryck som "for a year" "at eight" "in a minute" or "meanwhile" är ganska svüra att lära sig. FÜrlüt om du redan har gjort en südan post!
Writing up a little vocab list here for you!
Vid ĂĽtta - At eight Vid midnatt - At midnight
FÜrra veckan - Last week Nästa vecka - Next week Om en vecka - In a week Inom en vecka - Within a week Under en vecka - During a week
Samtidigt / under tiden - At the same time / meanwhile
Vi ses om en timme! - See you in an hour! Fan, jag borde varit klar fĂśr flera timmar sen! - Damn, I should have been finished several hours ago!
Reblogging to add my favourite: till och med (abbreviated as t.o.m.); until and including. In English, I often wonder if "until Wednesday" means until the end of Tuesday or until the end of Wednesday, t.o.m. solves that beautifully:
Jag är pü semester t.o.m. fÜrsta veckan i mars = I'm on vacation until and including the first week of March

Came across this site. Page talks about nature, outdoors, and mentions seasonal expressions I haven't heard of.

I had the sudden idea to find out what Aurora Borealis or the Northern lights are called in any of the SĂĄmi languages.
Instead of finding out I ended up on this phrasebook website for North Saami, Inari Saami and Skolt Saami. It is a website under the Finnish national broadcast company YLE, which is most probably why it focuses on these three.
Learn the indigenous North, Inari and Skolt Saami languages, watch documentaries about Saami-speaking people and learn the basics of Saami c
The site is available in Finnish, Swedish and English for anyone interested in having a browse through. I found the quick guide to Saami culture interesting myself and it featured quite a bit of different resources to check out.

French: Ătre vs Suivre
Recently learned that "je suis" has two different meanings.
"I am" & "I follow"
Ătre = je suis, tu es, il/elle/on est, nous sommes, vous ĂŞtes, ils/elles sont
Suivre = je suis, tu suis, il/elle/on suit, nous suivons, vous suivez, ils/elles suivent
So, if you see "je te suis," it doesn't mean "I am you."
Je te suis = I follow you (literal) Je te suis = I'm with you, I understand you, I get you (figurative)
