He doesn't go through near death a whole lot, he's very cautious. Again, he's very embarrassed about his bird form and he doesn't really count on that form to save himself.

Not really headcanons if they're my character lol but Darnell is sorta in a band and while he can sing, he plays the trumpet.

Despite being 26, Darnell is kinda old school. He's like a 75 year old man in a late 20 year old body JDISBSIS.

He's fully aware he's a loser but he doesn't really care what people think of him.

Roslyn does a lot of volunteer work in her spare time and do charity stuff.

She's an anime nerd and her favorite genre is slice of life type but she also loves Magical Girl stuff too.

Well, I have been obsessed with my favorite couple, Darnell and Roslyn!!!

Darnell is what I call a Weregrim. It means he's part Grim reaper... well more a beastial version of the grim reaper. It's an extremely, EXTREMELY RARE thing and it happens when someone's soul gets literally scar'd by death itself and it happened to him when he was born so he had that condition his whole life.

This condition allows him to see spirits, get visions of when people die, and turn into a giant bird when he experience near death. Darnell, however, is more embarrassed of his monsterous form rather than scared. He has complete control over his bird form so he doesn't really worry about losing it. But he doesn't change a whole lot because he's very cautious about his surroundings.

Roslyn, his lovely wife, knows about his condition and she learned that the hard way when she gave him something he was allergic to, which was coconut, and he changed right in her home. Fortunately, he managed to de-esculate the situation and explained to her everything. Scariest 30 minutes of her life, but she calmed down when she realized he really was harmless.
