There are so few happy endings for F/F ships and when we get the happiest ending possible, there's still people that want to dismiss or taint it. And like, believe me, I have plenty of complaints about how the adult seasons played out that I have spoken about to exhaustion, but there's a difference between discussing and complaining about those things and acting like those complaints or issues outweigh the endgame and also discussing those things and ignoring the endgame to give a wrong impression to others. I will never agree with the take that Choni's story would have been better without the 50s. That added an insane buzz/layer to their story, getting to see their soulmateism in action. I do wish they'd gone back to the present or an altered version of it, but more than that, I wish we got true insight into Toni's true feelings for Cheryl during S6 before we left it but otherwise supernatural Riverdale elevated Choni's story an insane amount.
