The Cold Within
Iām cold. Iām always cold these days. Itās supposed to be getting warmer and the sun is always shining in the sky, so why do I feel so cold? I feel goosebumps all over my skin. They get worse when it gets dark. No matter what I do, how many blankets I wrap around myself or how many windows Iāve closed, Iām just always cold. I feel this chill spreading through my veins, spreading through my whole body, seeping into my bones. I feel the goosebumps on my skin, raising my hair. I step into the shower and let the water fall, warmer, hotter, scorching, burning my skin, hoping the warmth seeps into my bones. Itās not enough. Itās never enough. I feel cold inside.Ā Ā
