At Farm Sanctuary’s New York Shelter, a Feast Fit for a Turkey (Or the Whole Flock)

Every November, we honor our rescued turkey residents at our Celebration for the Turkeys events, a Farm Sanctuary tradition beloved by turkey and “humanimal” alike. This year, the turkeys of our Northern California Shelter were the first to be fêted, followed the next weekend by their counterparts at our Southern California Shelter. And last but not least, this past Saturday, our New York Shelter’s turkey residents got their chance to party!

The Turkeys’ Feast

Did you know that turkeys love salad, squash, cranberries, and even pumpkin “pie”? 

The turkeys take one look at their special meal and make a dash for their favorite delicacies!
