The people of Yemen are facing the world’s worst cholera outbreak in the midst of the world’s largest humanitarian crisis. The country is on the brink of famine, with 70 per cent of the population – some 20 million people – in need of humanitarian assistance.

The United Nations and partners are working to address the cholera outbreak and provide humanitarian assistance to fight famine in the country, but serious funding shortfalls remain.

On May 8 in 1976, Six Flags Magic Mountain amusement park introduced The Revolution, the first roller coaster made of steel with a vertical loop. Designed by Werner Stengel, it set a world-class standard for amusement rides with inversions and can still be ridden at its original location in Valencia, California.
