As joking as it is, it's genuinely a good practice to step away from projects and return to doing fundamentals. Open up few tutorials, look up textbooks, do 3d objects, perspective, values, composition, anatomy etc. etc..

If you don't feel the same pep in the step while drawing, DO FUNDAMENTALS. Drawabox suggests doing 50% learning - 50% having fun, but I'd say 20% or even 10% of your drawing being fundamentals helps so much. You learn something new, get a better warm up, and helps you avoid a mistake where you don't think as much when drawing. It gets you thinking, it slows you down. It makes the process more conscious and you don't go rushing your stuff. It gets your tempo back.

This never failed me, it's way easier to return after fundamentals.
