Making a new post for visibility.

If I hear back about the job I've been interviewing for, I begin June 1. I will not find out about my disability support application until around June 17. I was rejected for emergency assistance due to not currently having an income.

I live with chronic illness and disability and I am asking for help to make it to next month. $1200 CAD will help me secure rent, transportation, medicine, and other essentials.

I'm sorry to ask when things are difficult for just about everyone right now. Every bit helps. Thank you.

Hey yall, got another job interview for tomorrow at 230, the problem is its at a location in a different city and its not ideal. Im hoping if I DO get hired I can be relocated closer to home, but with how everything is going for us rn I need to take every opportunity I can get

I'm fucking beside myself with stress & on the verge of a mental breakdown. The notes on this post mean nothing at all but no matter how much I say this, it does not make a difference at all.

I'm barely more than halfway to meeting my goal & have NO TIME LEFT AT ALL!!

There was just a death in my family as well which has thrown my work schedule to hell & may effect income I was counting on for the bare minimum expenses in my life.

I have no control over my life & the stress of it all is killing me. I still have not seen my dr, gotten bloodwork, or been able to pick up my meds, & I really badly need to do that before I run out at the beginning of Aug!! Literally even getting to $350 or $400 would help be substantially with meds!

Idk what to say bc I feel like ppl don't care anymore & I have no time left. Please help me, this is an extremely stressful & desperate situation, I'm almost completely out of my meds, & I don't want to go through withdrawal! I can't emphasize enough how urgent this is!!

Okay, so…. long time no see. I haven’t posted on here in a while because life has been wild lately. I need y’all to share this around though because it’s very urgent. My friend Chipo is a dance historian + artist from TX/Louisiana and they were recently invited to dance at a performance hall in NYC.

Unfortunately, the event got canceled on very short notice, which has turned into a waste of time and money for them. This ultimately has led to her falling short on some funds to get back home to New Orleans - she’s tried reaching out to fellow dancers in the city to collab with to possibly recoup funds, but to no avail.

All in all, she needs at least $200 dollars. Anything helps, but if anyone can send between $20-$35, that would be massively helpful!

independent living centers provide services and support by disabled people for disabled people and can help with: navigating systems, self-advocacy, and accessing services, among many other things. in their truest form, CILs function not in the model of state agencies, but as a form of structured in-community mutual aid. my local CIL provides services like counseling, advocacy, grants to cover some home needs, and meals on wheels for disabled adults under sixty-five. CILs can't fill all the gaps in services we have in this country, but they do important work to keep people alive. if you need help, your local center for independent living may be able to help. if you can give help, your local center for independent living can definitely use your help!!!!!
