does anyone else use firefox and have an issue where after a while windows/tabs just start glitching out and not working??? (like glitch effects all over and text turns to gibberish) Itās the weirdest thing iāve ever seen
Firefox is 99.99999% stable for me, but it CAN break in creative and slightly glitchy ways, either under extreme circumstances or - and this is where I start guessing - when something (browser session data?) gets too large or corrupted.
Anecdote time because I happened to save a screenshot:
I (web developer) once accidentally dumped wayyyyyyyyyyy too much output into it (as it happens) and then went, "Well, the output I actually need is at the bottom of easily several (dozen?) megabytes worth of text output that took more than a minute just to load in. Firefox hasn't died yet, so jumping to the end of the page should be fine... right?"
Well... good news is that the browser didn't crash. Bad news is that the (unstyled plain text) output at the end of the page looked like this:
So... yeah, the browser CAN crack under pressure, but it SHOULD be a rarity.
I'd suggest locating your profile folder and doing a backup of it to be on the safe side. Then you can start experimenting with things like re-installing Firefox, emptying your cache (but not necessarily history/cookies/etc.), deleting session storage data, and things like that.
