Still reading the Shaman King manga and boy if this panel isn't a big mood.
Pidge should've been an alien in VLD
Yeah, I'm back on this thought. Not sure if I've shared it before or not, but we've also seen things I've worked on with art and fics. A non-Earthling Pidge in VLD would've been AMAZING.
DotU and VF both gave us "Pidge isn't of Earth", pointing out that the green lad in both of those iterations were from the planet Balto. Sure, sure, it was an excuse to show the planet blow up in DotU and write it differently so it's not Earth like it was in GoLion, but. WEP started this and I'm living for non-Earthling Pidge in VLD.
Like, don't get me wrong, I'm perfectly fine and dandy with Keith being half Galra. It's neat. The probabilities and working with that are endless. But like man. Quit hogging the alien aspect to yourself! Pidge had it first in prior versions of Voltron! Let this pidge have some of it, too! And it could be fun. Like, her not knowing she's part alien or her definitely knowing she's not Earthling and vibing with it. The possibilities are ENDLESS.
So yeah. I just wanted to get this ran out of the way and share with y'all. Pidge should've been alien or have alien ties in VLD. And, with sticking to part of VLD canon, I feel like it could've worked. Like, she could have potentially not known, much like Keith in canon. This could've also worked out with her not knowing and Keith being aware he's Galran or even looking the part and introducing good Galra much earlier and having team issues with Allura distrusting him but getting to see him for who he is sooner. And Pidge learning later on she's not as human as she thought. Or, for a second idea, Keith still not knowing and Pidge fully knowing what she is. Like, imagine Keith being part of the Garrison trio instead, potentially butting heads with Lance a lot but the two also being close, and when they head off into space with the blue lion, instead of escaping right away, they get caught. And thrown into a prisoner holding cell where Pidge, an alien previously captured, is sitting and figuring out her own way of getting out.
Dudes, the probabilities are there. We really needed alien Pidge. Would've gone so well with her tech adaptability, too.
Anyway, I'll leave that here for the time being. Hope y'all enjoyed this little ramble. Until next time!
Made some stickers
So I've been watching creepy videos from Nuke's top 5's channel for approximately the majority of 2 days.
Now as I was in the bathroom I heard something fall in my room and when I check nothing fell.
I think I've been watching too much cause now I'm just hearing things

Someone Tell Me to Do The Thing
I'm not really sick sick anymore. But I'm being a goddamned lump. I need to post a thing, I need to write (not the new mildly angsty idea I thought of while walking home). I need to do laundry. Ugh.
Inspiration (a.k.a. “How I ended up liking Blueblood and shipping RariTwi”)
Sooo... as MLP comes to a close (from what I heard - it's been ages since I actually watched an episode O_o), I figured I could indulge in a little look back, especially since I got these two books in the mail fairly recently!
Now, I'm tempted to say that what you see here is what inspired me to write fanfics... and that'd be a complete lie since I'm an old man and started writing fanfics back when Digimon Tamers started airing, which was... uh... eighteen years ago...? ..................dear God, now I feel really old.
ANYWAY.
I could also say that what you see here inspired me to write MLP fanfics... and... that... is also not correct, I think? But closer! We're getting closer! Because these two books - or rather, the fics contained in them - got me properly invested in MLP fanfics and are the main inspirations for what I’ve been up to in the fandom these last couple of years.
"The Best Night Ever" by Captain Chryssalid is one of my favorite fanfics. It's one of the very few fanfics (and one of the very few stories, period) which I re-read more than once, and it inspired me to think big when it comes to writing for MLP. It's a Groundhog Day Loop fic, where Prince Blueblood gets stuck on the day of the Grand Galloping Gala (a.k.a. the season 1 finale), despairs, learns life lessons, and ultimately finds love.
What won me over with this fic was Prince Blueblood. Heck, this fic is pretty much the reason why I love writing him nowadays. I'm fairly sure I will never nail down his tone and characterization as well as this fic did, but it did make me like him because this is a character who is deeply flawed, but still good, even if he initially doesn't really show it. He has his reasons for what he does (even if said reasons are often petty and douchey), and he cares about his family and his reputation.
Also, the fic is filled with several scenes that make me laugh out loud even years later, but it still manages to throw in heartfelt scenes and moments of complete despair. Really, if I ever end up writing something that is only a tenth as amazing as this fic, I can die a happy man.
Moving on, we have Monochromatic, a.k.a. @rarilight. And given that she's the scientifically proven author of The Best MLP Fanfic Ever, I could basically stop talking right here, and you'd all be going "Yeah, I get it."
But I won't, because I love to hear myself talk. :P
(Also, side note to the Best Fanfic Ever bit: it should be mentioned that, while Mono's "The Enchanted Library" won first place and got all the hype buzz, "The Best Night Ever" came in third!)
Mono is to blame for... everything. I didn't ship RariTwi before Mono! I was leading a happy life with my crackships, and then "The Sphinx's Riddle" happened, and now I'm stuck writing RariTwi fics involving altars and rockstars!
Seriously, "The Sphinx's Riddle" is the worst kind of Trojan Horse ever. Rarity is a princess! Twilight is a sphinx! They are in an arranged marriage! Everything about this screamed crack, and suddenly I was shipping two of the main characters of the series!
That fic is also how I found @earthsong9405 and her AUs (since, you know, this fic is based on one of them), and now I'm writing a fic based on one of her AUs myself and commissioned her to draw cover art for all of my fics, so THANKS A BUNCH, MONO.
So... yeah, two of my main influences in the MLP fanfic area! You can probably imagine that I was extremely pleased to realize that I could have both fics ("The Sphinx's Riddle" is included in "The Mono-Logues") as extra-fancy hardcover books, courtesy of Ponyfeather Publishing ("The Best Night Ever" + "The Mono-Logues"). They're hardly my only physical MLP items, but they definitely are among my most treasured. :)
Guys I'm.... I'm fairly certain that the Prototype is a child.... Guys I think we should pause on all the simping over him I've been seeing....
...GUYS...
