So. According to the lore in Saiyuki, someone who gets the blood of a thousand yokai on them becomes a yokai. Like, this is fact, we have verification on this.

So. With as many yokai that Gyokumen keeps throwing to the meat grinder that is Sanzo's party, should we. Should we be worried about Sanzo eventually??? Like that feels like a thing we should absolutely be worried about.

Like, he already got, like, effectively a blood-transfusion from a half-yokai, plus he's probably had to help the others bandage up when they were bleeding, so that's, like three right there right off the bat (unless half-yokai don't count?????)

(The funny conclusion of this is that Sanzo, with how few fucks he gives, never notices the change somehow. SOMEHOW. Because we know from the canon example that the change is Not Fun To Go Through. Sanzo just like "I thought I just had too many beers and was hung over" after the fact maybe????)
