I love these dorks so much. This turned into a bit of a labor of love, but I actually kind of adore how it turned out QAQ ♥

Little Frankenstein girly 😭🤣

Everything in general has been tiring but the big one was that my older sister passed suddenly back in early April. They think it was cardiac arrest, and I wouldn't be surprised, because she'd dealt with congestive heart failure already before, along with other heart issues, and all of the unnecessary stress her idiot boyfriend was putting on her... it was just insane, because Mom was on the phone with her and they hung up around 1:30 that day, and when Nick and I were getting up around 3 to go start getting ready for work, her boyfriend called us in a panic saying he got home from work and found her on the floor, already purple. She got off the phone to go start cooking dinner, and the stove was still on when the EMTs arrived.

We just lost dad a little over 4 years ago, then that happened. I joke with Mom about her getting to the afterlife (for those who believe in it) and Dad looking at her and asking, "the fuck are you doing here already?"

At least with dad it wasn't really a surprise. Processing a sudden death is so much harder. She was only 46 💔

And now, next week, we have to take Minnie to have a front leg amputated because of a tumor. We thought it was a skin tag for the longest time, then about a month and a half ago it started growing, and she started acting like it annoyed her. It grew slowly, then when she went into heat, it seems like it exacerbated it, and the thing just ballooned. We took her to the vet, and thankfully it's not cancerous, and nothing has spread to the bone, but she's a Chihuahua, so it's nearly impossible for them to remove the tumor with a safe margin.

So our options were basically amputation, or take her to a specialist who might be able to do skin grafts, or might also just tell us they cant do it either, but will probably cost us 3x as much as an amputation. Shes only 7, and we've read a lot of promising things about dogs adapting to amputations well, so we're going that route. Minnie is gonna be a tripawd in a week.

I think she'll be fine, but I still worry, as anyone would. I'm just so tired of everything right now, and I hope our family gets a fucking break soon.

He's actually been enjoying it too 🤣 A dude who's usually about grand strategy/historical games like Victoria 3, Total War, Hearts of Iron, etc lmao. We've been helping out on each other's farms via co-op. I think we're on winter 1 in his game, and we're nearing the end of year 3 on mine (I was already in y3 when he joined mine). He's still (playfully) pouty about my profit margins vs his tho 🤣
