I’ll also share this, I was exposed to so many things outside of my neighborhood because of the environments I was in. In one school environment, I had books that had been beat up and old. There weren’t enough chairs/desks for the number of students in the classrooms. In a different school environment, we had new editions of textbooks that still had a glossy cover and my classmates had phones with custom ringtones. I experienced discrimination through educational systems but I have been exposed to different versions of resourcefulness. I know a lot about a lot because of the environments I’ve been in.
