Alkaline liquid isn’t a substitute for wine

A prison of my own making, acting as if fine

A bittersweet feeling I had been forsaking

Breathing in air filled with toxins

As I’ve neglected my room into ruin

Tossing and turning in a bed filled with crumbs

Too long I have felt completely numb

Everything is a chore, with no solution in sight

Really it’s my fault, so I’ll make it right

You see it’s just like switching out a new battery

Soon I can flush my systems out as remedy
