Anyways i think it would be fun to explore an izuku & inko dynamic that i've never seen b4, where inko very much loves and supports izuku as in canon but it's also a lil more complex than that. Like, she loves him and supports him but she doesn't want him getting himself killed doing a dangerous line of work. She supports him following his dreams of helping people, but not by putting his life in danger. This is all pretty standard inko characterization tho so let's get into the fun part!
Izuku who is convinced his mom despises him. Like, fear of rejection to the max. Maybe he's even anxious that she's going to kick him out, and he keeps switching between trying to be overly independent to prepare for the day his mom gets sick of him, and being unusually dependent on her because he doesn't want to look back on the times he had with her and wish he'd spent more time with his mom.
This leads to poor, stressed out inko realizing that something is wrong with her son but not even beginning to guess what, let alone figure out how to help him. And izuku who is overly aware of every time his mom gets mad at him, or is disappointed in him. He'll have days where he comes home from school and goes to his room without saying a word, only eating in the middle of the night. But on the opposite end of the scale, he'll sometimes cling to his mother's side all day, going on errands with her and watching TV with her and getting really upset when she tries to shake him off for even just an hour. Sometimes it's subtly enough to come off as teenage moodiness, but inko isn't stupid. She knows that her son is struggling with something, she just can't figure out what. She wants to help him, but he's so sensitive to rejection and abandonment that he gets sick when she scolds him.
