I love the gallery..

there r so many paintings now a days that ignore the special quality subjectivity brings to a piece 😫 that’s why i am frustrated. bitches don’t respect subjectivity. ppl think too much about what an aesthetically pleasing/trendy image can be rather than letting the paint take hold and tell you to where it needs to go to best exist. i am still trying to unlearn this ! but it’s become more and more of a thing within painting because of the excess of information via the internet and because if u make an image ppl can always identify you will get the most followers on instagram or general fame online?? like think about ppl painting photos of a celebrity from a well-known/“memeable” paparazzi photo it’s just a way to double virality. it becomes shallow in the worst way, that there’s a lack of “inner world” from the individual who created it….
