Colonial Williamsburg is offering free admission to Hampton Roads area folks this week. So, the kids and I went up for a few rainy hours on Monday. I’ve been to Williamsburg a number of times, but I’ve never gone into any of the ticketed buildings. We had a fun time eating lunch at the Cheese Shop, stumbling into a great little bookstore, seeing George Wythe’s house where George Washington and Marquis de Lafayette planned the Battle of Yorktown (my daughter was super stoked about that). As we finished up dinner at a tavern, I peeked out of an upstairs window and saw a couple walking a dog that, from a distance, looked very much like a bear.
During 2016 I’m posting an illustrated critter each week. Follow along and/or sign up to receive weekly critters, news, and updates via email at my site: cherilyncolbert.com
