florida politics in general leave a lot to be desired, but i’m thankful to live somewhere that aligns, for the most part, with my morals and values. exercising my right to vote for people who care about the same things i do 🫶🏻

a much needed haircut and bang refresh, a lavender vanilla matcha latte and a good book enjoyed outside, sweaty runs in cute neighborhoods, cards and beers and live music at our favorite brewery, flowers from trader joes, early morning walks with my girl, and a coffee and chai date with my guy. today i got to facetime with my brother + sister in law + cutie nephew and catch up with my oldest pal to plan a visit next month. heart is so full.

currently reading Manacled, and it’s my first foray into fan fiction. not quite sure what i was expecting as a big fan of the Harry Potter books, but so far it is both jarring and thrilling…we shall see I guess!

a day date with our hobbies (i read while he restores vintage motorcycles), dinner at bird’s with miraculous parking, late night sweet treats for the whole family, old time jam at blue tavern, the most beautiful ube cocktail, and a handmade card for my mom’s birthday

rainy friday night baking: peanut butter (pan)cake with homemade syrup on top 👌🏻

sometimes when the sky is a little overcast it makes the perfect moody morning lighting in this corner of our apartment 🌞

our fourth of july feast: homemade pineapple mojito paletas, watermelon rum slushies, a classic cookout spread, and strawberry + handpicked blueberry cobbler for dessert. everything tastes better outside, i don’t make the rules.

summertime in georgia is the best and i will not be convinced otherwise. a few days filled with my favorite things in my favorite place 🫶🏻
