Everyone has different gameplay styles & aesthetics, that’s what I absolutely love most about the Sims community! Everyone is also entitled to their own opinions & should be able to share them on any platform freely. However, making inappropriate comments & generalizations about a certain aesthetic is harmful & divides this community. While there are a small quantity of creators who draw a bit too much inspiration from others, that does not equate to everyone with this aesthetic to being boring & unoriginal. In fact, these group of simmers have some of the most creative gameplay ideas I have seen. This can also be applied to different aesthetic niches, not just the “rich girl aesthetic.” If you feel like something is oversaturated in the community, whether it be lookbooks or just an aesthetic in general, then you should follow creators with a different gameplay style/aesthetic. I did this recently, and it has inspired me and gave me a new perspective on my gameplay. Use this opportunity to make new friends in the community, not tear others down. Ell, you are a dear friend of mine, one of the first friends I made on YouTube, but you insulted the community I am apart of and that wounded me. All of these creators look up to you, they are constantly recommending your content, from reshade presets to create-a-sim backgrounds. You are so loved on TikTok! I wish you safe travels to Japan & a healthy pregnancy. I hope my insight has shown the implications your words have had & encourages you to have a more welcoming perspective towards the community you helped inspire.
