"Spamton G. Spamton is a computer worm that merely pretends to be a spam program. His species, the malworms, are characterized by their long bodies, many legs, pointed nose, compound eyes, pointy smile, and their parasitoid life cycle. The Sweepstakes worm on a string represents what their larvae look like after they consume and kill their host from the inside out. Spamton himself is the last living member of the BIGSHOT malworm species, still seeking for a way to restore his kind and take control of Cyber City once more. He created his disguise and spam program persona in order to collect information, but inadvertently caught the attention of a group of addisons. He definitely only sees them as a resource to exploit. He is absolutely not attached. He is NOT terrified of what will happen if they find out what he really is. He's above some... kind, thoughtful, considera—PATHETIC advertisements. Obviously."

Siiigh theres an artist i really like but its another one where they only draw bsspam and hes meant to be attractive but when they draw him currently its always because hes the butt of a joke and hes drawn with like 10x less effort… ☹️
this is just a me thing and im annoying and like puppet spam a lot but it always feels like he not treated like an actual person and is incapable of like… loving and being kind and having emotions besides only purely being absurd and funny. Which he can be but hes also multifaceted and still a person.. idk just makes me sad when it feels like they only see value in him when he was Normal. Ah yeah, I've been beginning to realize why I care so little about big shot era spamton. The way I see him often portrayed turns him into a completely different character with zero relation to his canon self, which is a shame, because I think he could be interesting if you played around with him having impostor syndrome and what not. Instead he's just turned into a generic charismatic sexyman. Why does Tenna get to keep all his quirky and “weird” traits when people portray him in fanon, but when it's Spamton all of those get erased?
It feels icky to me how Spamton is treated these days, especially compared to Tenna. And yeah, I 1000% think it has something to do with how homeless people and the “ugly” side of mental illness are dehumanized. In the days of ch 2, people removed Spamton's worst traits and made him as much of a victim as possible, because they couldn't fathom empathizing with him otherwise. Now that they have Tenna, Spamton is instead treated as an irredeemable monster, or is turned into a completely different character in his big shot Era, because, again, they can't empathize with someone whose mental illness isn't marketable.
I can't tell you what content to make or consume, but I have my own preferences. I support Spamton rights AND Spamton wrongs, because, frankly, his many, many mistakes are what make him interesting. And you know what? That guy is relatable as hell if you actually allow yourself to dig deeper into his character. There's a reason he's been my favorite character ever since 2021, and I will forever strive to appreciate him as Toby wrote him.
Thank you to everyone who loves this dumpster puppet as he is. The uglier I draw him, the better. Because everyone deserves love, care, and empathy, not just who is the most palatable.
