Rant: I don’t want to offend anyone but I feel like I need to speak out for all cheerleaders. I really don’t care if you unfollow me or not. As a gymnast I always thought cheerleading was not a sport until my sister (who used to be a gymnast) decided to join all star cheerleading. Let me tell you CHEERLEADING IS A SPORT. They tumble, stunt, do jumps, and dance. All of these aspects are apart of gymnastics. So what if cheerleading isn’t in the olympics? They have worlds which is going on right now. The top teams from all of the world meet and compete in Orlando. Doesn’t this sound familiar like our worlds? My sister constantly gets hate from even my teammates. It’s honestly not fair. She’s in the gym as long as I am and her and her team work their butt off to win. When you lift someone who’s over 100 lbs over your head, have elite speciality passes, and can do jumps to a standing full, come talk to me about if cheerleading is a sport or not.
