Hello.

Cheeky Pegs is me - well, the small people and critters I create from wooden peg doll bodies. I like to think I give them a personality. I am, like, a creator-of -life, in a peg doll sense. No ego there, then. 

I am in full mid-life crisis mode, Mum of two strange little children, wife to beared husband and carer for three guinea-pigs, one gold fish and five snails. I am frightened of hairy plants, tint holes and but I do love all things classic rock, shiny and mid-century-modern. I am an accountant by day. 

(My avatar is no reflection of my own face and I have no chest hair.) 

My process: I paint the naked peg dolls, stick some fimo on them and give them massive hair. I have made some nudey ones too. I think even peg dolls should be celebrated in their “natural form”.

I wanted to share my Cheeky Peg creations; it would be sad to make them and then stick them in a box in a dark cupboard. I do sell them, reluctantly really. I don’t like specifically making things to sell but I do it to fund my fimo habit - a habit which is, frankly, getting out of hand.

I only recently discovered Tumblr. I am sad it took me so long to find it. It is a refreshing change from some of the other social media sites - I haven’t been bombarded with ads for fake eyelashes and under-eye-bag remover creams yet. Bonus.

So anyways, I will continue to post away and share my little pegs and if you likes them - smashing!
