Cheap returns to Camp Weehawken year after year! How can he stay away from his favorite place on earth?
In truth, he did stay away once. When he was young camper camp weehawken changed his life for the better, he just didnāt realize it yet. He even followed the misguided belief that he should grow up fast, and after 2 glorious summers, he was sworn off Camp Wehawken.
That isā¦until he had grown up and realized it wasnāt all it was cracked up to be. He just wanted to go back. So he did! And now he spends his summers at Weehawken again as a staff member.
Cheapās passion is keepsakes. He collects, he scrapbooks and he crafts! The joys of making, finding and giving these memory holding trinkets are what he shares with the campers that attends his lessons.
Lately camp has been his escape from the turmoil of the Once-lerās calling. The year prior, he took his knitted prototype out to find the perfect materialā¦and he found it right where he expected to. In a valley not unlike camp weehawken grounds. A tree was felled but he could not bring himself to harvest the material. The agony of destroying a symbol of his childhood was too much to take. Amends were made in the planting of a seed, and he vowed never to return.
Since then, Cheap has been seeking a new way forward. His little crochet business has expanded to the internet!! Social media even, and he takes great pride in his 33 followers.
Cheap was very much looking forward to coming to camp again. To re-unite with some familiar faces, reminisce and make new memories but along the way he came across some deeply troubling newsā¦..
