No, he refused to move. How long had it been? He was tired of living off scraps and the organs of his own species. He needed this kill. For his sanity. It had been slipping away now and then causing his beast like traits to return now and then. Cannibalizing as much as he did was not a kind fate. He needed this kill for money. He would not use all of her so he could sell the remaining pieces like livestock. Was it so strange for him to do so?
More importantly, he needed a human sacrifice. They were the beings closer to god. Shou never denied the demonic, beastly nature of ghouls and thus never turned away from the being that likely watch over them. Why cherish a god who could cast such a poor fate on a species? No, this girl would die not in vain but would go to the being that brought life for him. Was it wrong?
His bikaku, covered in spikes and hardened, flicked around to swing at the girl that was at him. She was just like everyone else. “Sick”, “Weird”, “Gross”, “Messed up.” He had heard this before and this is why he put a mask on.
“Leave…. me…. alone….”
Now his words made more sense but they still sounded like a growl. “I am not here to kill you but I need this body. He only desires them fresh.”
Hands shaking, she cried out sharply as its thick tail sent her flying into the brick wall behind them. She'd tried to block it, the long staff of her quinque held protectively before her. But the creature's strength outmatched hers.
The world blacked out for a moment, the back of her skull thudding against the wall and drawing fresh blood like a well. "Nng..." She stirred, her vision returning as it began to shout anew. This time, the words made sense to her. That monstrous tone still permeated them, filling her with dread. Something about it sounded distantly familiar, but...that couldn't be right. It was probably the dazed and bleeding head talking. Shakily, she jumped to her feet, one hand against the wall for support. "No," The reply was defiant, "You leave her alone."
“If you won’t leave her alone...we’re going to have a fucking problem here.”
Finally leaving the support of the wall behind, she held up her quinque threateningly. "I don't know what you want with her," She growled, "But I'm not going to walk away until you surrender her body to me! I won't let you defile this innocent girl's corpse anymore!" Justice. She sounded like she knew anything about justice. Like she cared about it. And normally it would make her feel sick with hypocrisy, but-- this girl. She was too young. She shouldn't have been a victim like this. And it pisser her off. "Haaaaah!" She grunted, lunging forward again.
