REDFACE

I promised Brandi a read this week. I hope this isn’t painful for you.

 I will try my best to put this into words. 

 It’s a vibration. An ongoing tingle ripping through my veins... I tell you, I do this no justice. I have to stop explaining myself. I have to let be, be. Un-think the obvious even...

My words; entangled and misguided. My fingers; gliding along iced sheets. 

Perched on my window, an apple. 

She waits. She listens. She waits. She waits. She waits some more. 

I really have no more to give. It’s what I tell myself when I want to shelf the pain in dusty corners gone black, and hidden.

I’m in the thick of it. Fuck! 

You’re patient. 

I second guess your focus on so many levels. Why me? 

I like to grip slow, alone, in shadow-filled rooms blown. Lime-lit rays make me uncomfortable. I have you fooled. I’m no better than a pauper’s wife on mission to make amends for living lavishly undercover. I’m no better than the hooded rat surfing the streets for cheese -- gutter to gutter. I’m no better than the other. I’m no better.
