I don’t draw Hadou nearly enough.

Meet Bishamonten!

He’s Hadou’s mentor, had been watching over him before he even became a criminal. When Hadou was a mere baby charmander, he arrived in the arms of Bishamonten who did not make Hadou’s childhood easy or pleasant. Bishamonten made Hadou train extensively day in and day out and the only free time Hadou had was when Monty fell asleep.

Hadou seeked freedom once he reached age 16, so he left the old man’s dojo and wandered to Dreidym (old village where Hadou and Desi first met, one that became consumed by “the fog” and caused the two to go searching for a new home). Bishamonten went out to search for Hadou in “the fog” and years later, here he is. Bishamonten gained the scar on his side and shoulder from a pack of masked presence that struck him down as he wandered, only by the bare skin of his teeth was he able to survive.

Bishamonten is wise yet gruff. His expression tends to be on a tipped scale between hardass and old sage. He shows kindness to his students but in odd ways or when they’re not even looking.
