Well, this was awkward. Standing in this small room with a complete stranger, no weapons to speak of, and impending doom on the other side of a locked door - keeping danger out, but at the same time keeping Charlie and the stranger trapped inside.
“I really should learn to keep a lock pick handy,” she said aloud, in an attempt at humor. “That’ll teach me.” Already she was scanning the room for a way out that didn’t involve working her way through a horde of monsters.
