i have many gripes with the trends in top gun fanfiction. number one would be why the fuck is everyone so obsessed with the dagger squad in tgm. number two is why do people care so much more about ice than mav.

number 3 is i think everyone has a fairly warped perspective of how much presence mav & ice would have actually had in bradleys life. like i dont disagree with the idea that carole & bradley might have moved out to san diego but even then, mav is an uncle who while probably financially contributing to carole & bradley a lot was also deployed Most of the time. he wasnt like living in their house being a father figure.
