“No you wouldn’t have and we both know it, because I wouldn’t have even dared to share you for a second. Because a day lost with you is too tragic, even to fourteen year old me,” Leia admitted allowing herself to be sappy for once until a sharp pain hit her, “Kyle….I think I had a contraction.”

Kyle froze, his eyes widening as he looked at his wife. “A-Are you sure?”

“It would have been entertaining to watch you be jealous, but there was never any reason to make you jealous. Not when I knew it meant me missing time with you. And if anyone knows how important it is to spend time with the people you love while you can, it’s me.”

“Especially when I knew that I already have the hottest date. Why would I bother not having you by my side when I knew I’d be miserable? I will admit though I considered it one time to make you jealous.”

“You shouldn’t have told me that, because now I want to know who it was.” Kyle laughed, shaking his head. “It would have worked though. And I’d probably have gotten detention.”

“Supposedly there’s an entire world around us that we rarely ever noticed, Mr. Charleston. Supposedly there were guys that asked me to dances that I don’t even remember.”

“Oh, I remember them. I used to laugh at them for thinking they would have a chance.”

“Oh trust me I know. All the girls were angry that you wouldn’t play with them. I do still kinda like you, you know only with my whole heart.”

“There were other girls? Funny, I didn’t notice. I guess it’s a good thing we’re married then.”

“You’re something incredibly special even six year old me knew to keep you to myself so no one else could have you. It also helped you always were willing to play my husband whenever we played house as kids,” Leia reminded him while running her hand along his face.”

“I didn’t want to play house with anyone else,” Kyle promised, smiling at his wife. “I’m glad you still seem to like me enough to play house with me for real.”

“I know. I’m a hero, I’m sacrificing so much just to be happy every single day,” she leaned in resting her head against his shoulder as she breathed in his scent, “How did I get so lucky that you’re all mine?”

“I’ve been in love with you since I was six, that might have had something to do with it.” Kyle grinned, wrapping his arms around her, “I’m lucky you’ve put up with me for so long.”

“Wow that’s such a threat, How will I ever be happy spending my entire life with my best friend and favorite person?” She asked him as she raised her eyebrows, “I really think I’m just going to have to suffer knowing I love you.”

“I know, it’s so dangerous.” Kyle joked, laughing as he shook his head. “Wow, that’s such a price you’re willing to pay.”

“I never dreamed of having you stop loving on us. I don’t think it’s possible for you to do, but I do love the fact that you would do absolutely anything for your girls and your little boy.”

“You and our little ones are stuck with me for good, Lei.” He promised, and he meant it. Ever since the accident Kyle was more grateful than he expected to have his life and his family.

“You kind of spoil us. It’s honestly ridiculous how loved we are.”

“It might be ridiculous, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to stop.”

“I am the second happiest girl in the world. I’m pretty sure that Kat takes the cake for the happiest. She’s really crazy about her daddy.”

“Well, so long as my girls are happy I’m doing something right.”

“I’m never going to find better anywhere else, and I’d never even be tempted to look elsewhere. You’re all that I will ever want, Kyle. You’re the absolute love of my life, but I also know how lucky I am. You’ve always treated me like an absolute queen even when we were just teenagers. I’m the world’s luckiest woman getting to call you all mine,” she leaned in pressing a kiss deeply to his lips.

“So long as you’re happy I know I’m doing something right.” Kyle grinned, leaning down to kiss her. “I love you so much.”

“It’s going to change though because we’ll be busy with at least another two kids on top of Katrina and Amos. We’re going to have to start making sure we sneak romance in once and awhile. Even if it’s just candlelight dinners in the kitchen after the kids go to bed. It’s going to be about the details.”

“Of course it’s going to change, but it’s going to be a good kind of change, isn’t it? We’re finally getting that family we’ve been talking about since we were six, Lei. And even if we have a house full of kids demanding our every waking moment, we’ll still be us. I’ll still keep doing things to try and keep you convinced not to run off and find better somewhere.”

“I’m proud of you for not still sleeping in her room,” She admitted knowing that the only reason she was able to sleep at all was because she knew he was watching over their little girl. “I’m okay being your second favorite girl now. I can’t blame you when she’s so beautiful. But I still love being spoiled by you.”

“It takes any willpower I still have.” He sighed, knowing chances were when the baby was born, he’d be right back to sleeping on the floor again. “Well, I wouldn’t have her without you, so favoritism doesn’t really apply anymore. But I’ve been spoiling you for over a decade, Lei, I don’t think that’s gonna change.”

“You would think that we would feel better now that we have Kat, but I still worry that it’s going to happen again.” She rubbed her belly frowning for a moment before looking up to him, “I was just wondering if I could get a foot massage with those cuddles.”

“It scares me too. There’s a reason I spent the first six weeks sleeping in her room with her whether I meant to or not. I needed to be there if something happened.” Kyle sighed. He wasn’t sure if he would ever forgive himself for what had happened. Hearing her, he cracked a grin, “course you can.”

“Okay that’s true,” Leia admitted heavily knowing that she didn’t have an argument against that. The baby could come two weeks late and she’s still worry that he didn’t have enough time. “Can you do me another favor when you’re done though?”

“I know it is.” Kyle grinned. He would be worried too, but knew that would happen either way unless it was promised by every doctor the baby was okay. “Of course, what is it?”

“Maybe if I over do it I’ll go into labor though!” Leia pointed out as she sat down listening to what he wanted. “You have to promise to come sit with me when you’re done though.”

“You’ll go into labor, and then proceed to panic thinking that the baby is coming too early.” Kyle argued with a laugh, kissing her forehead. “I promise. Most of it is contained to one area, anyway.”
