A sequence I worked on for the Travel Oregon ad, Slighty (more) Exagerated. You can watch it here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KIC-XmyEfhI Layout Posing for all the trees, bathers on the second shot, main dog and owner on the last one. Animated all the Bee(s), the little creatures at the beginning (but not the fx transformation) and the first Tree (only). Can I say I hate trees now? ;p
A friend of mine started some adventures on D&D so I drew my character, Testu. A Vanara Monk, like the hot springs snow monkeys in Japan. (As well as to try not to be too close to Monkey from Kung Fu Panda...)
Finally uploading my work on Castlevania Season 2. Rough animation based on the amazing ground work, keys and sometimes more, of @spencerwan . More coming up.
Going through work that has been released. Here are gifs from a League of Legend spotās Doublelift. You can watch it here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ug6dDZ1Cb5A

Iāve played RIME recently, because I didnāt know what to play, and I was positively surprised. Itās a gorgeous game on many levels. If you like short, pretty and meaningful games, go for it.
The Last Guardian Finally took some time to continue this series of stories that I loved. And this one, oh my did it touch me deeply. This video game is love and pain at the same time, if youāve ever bonded deeply with an animal, this is for you.
How did you learn to draw/animate like you do? Resources, tools, inspiration? anything really? All of your art is really good and I hope you keep it up!
Hum, first of all thank you !Then, itās difficult to answer the ālike you doā part. Iāve really started to draw seriously when I enter Pivaut school in Nantes, France. At the end of the program (4 years (1 optional + 3 )) I wasnāt satisfied or confident enough with what I could do so I prepared for Gobelins and got in on my second attempt.I finished their program in 2015.
Now, Iāve always been amazed by japanese work (mostly their action scenes), and never been interested in cut-out animation. But even if I said Iām amazed, I still donāt have a huge knowledge about it. I donāt scroll down Sakugabooru (https://www.sakugabooru.com/post) like I probably should.
Itās awkward how I donāt even know how to answer the āinspirationā part. Iāve always been stuck on this question. I donāt know artistsā names and so on. Iām so useless haha
I think part of my problem is that Iāve had a āfeeling/instinctā for animation since the beginning and Iāve been playing with it while trying to run away from rules and methods. Because the more rules I tried to apply, the less attractive my work started to become. Thankfully Iām working on this to get better as I go. (When I had the great luck to be picked for an internship at Disney Animation (Thanks Gobelinsā short listing!), my mentor Eric Goldberg seemed to have a hard time trying to make me plan and control things ahead. So now I try to follow his advice as much as I can, for I have a lot of respect for him!)I worked a few weeks with Spencer Wan, and he said having practiced martial arts has a huge impact on how he can animate today. He obviously understands weight and foot work beyond what I can only āimagineā from my couch life style.Depending on what kind of work you want to do, maybe practice a similar activity? Sounds like a lame advice though hahaBut miming your action, whatever it is, if you can, definitely helps understanding a lot of things. Iām very lazy so I try to do it mentally but I still get up once in a while to look like a monkey in my office. This post is way too long.As for tools, I use the software TvPaint since itās the one they teach at Gobelins (beside animating traditionally on paper), and itās actually really nice to play with, compared to Adobe Flash (or Animate now). I tried ToonBoom Harmony for a job and it was alright too ! Definitely a good mix between TvPaint and the Vectors of Flash. Finally to come back to āhow I drawā, Iām fascinated by the male body and always wanted to draw this only. I tried the realistic style but Iām too lazy, so in the end itās a mix between things, indeed. I donāt know how to draw faces, itās easier to learn body anatomy than personality in the head. Blah, it reminds me I need to work on these. Thanks! hahaSorry for this length, itās probably not what you wanted.
Ahh!
Berserk, I remember reading it while I was very young, and I rediscovered it with the trilogy of the Golden Age movies. I understood a whole other layer of feelings between the characters, and I love it! I need to buy the books again. Books, movies and games that touched me n°4 (not in a specific order)

Finally! I Finally, received the fanzine āNothing But Glassesā for which I did a piece. āNaked Men with glassesā was the theme, so I couldnāt resist. Thanks @diane-truc !!
Full Metal Alchemist If you donāt know it, first of all I have no idea where you have been for the last ten years, but then, find it and watch/read it. It has to be my all time favourite. The story of those two brothers touches me deeply. Slowly doing a series of non polished illustrations on movies, series or games that touched me, one way or another.
Iāve always thought Viola Davis would make a great Helen Justineau, in The Girl With All The Gifts. I really, really, loved the book, so obviously the movie was a great disappointment. Even if they gave an amazing opportunity to this young actress of color (Sennia Nenua), I think swapping āracesā for both characters changes a lot of subtexts from the book. If you get the chance, read the book, but donāt read anything about it before.
Iāve watched Stranger on Netflix, and even if I think the show is a bit too slow, I really liked those two characters. She is so beautiful and has amazing outfits. Then I liked his lack of expressions (justified in the story), and overall charisma. Big crush on both of them. (I also want to apologize if I got the title wrong on the picture haha. I had no clue what I was copying (from the official poster) even if I tried to check it out on google) (that english title makes no sense to me)
Some old sketches of Arai I did two years ago. My scanner is pretty bad so I took crappy pictures! Iām still not sure where Iām going with this but who knows?

Seeing the amazing work of @fisher903 (here too @908123751), I couldnāt resist. I had to redraw my very old OC from the time when I used to write on one of those obscure RPG forums. Arai was a medic, with snake abilities/jutsu very muche like Orochimaru, but without the ācrazynessā part. And the girl, whose name I forgot, was his best friend, using Raikiri and sword/taijutsu stuff. Both were from Kumo, village of the clouds, country of lightning. I still have no idea how to handle colours.

So here it is, SHUDO, the graduation movie I worked on this final year at Gobelins. Please share and show us love! haha
I reblog this as I would like to thank GAZE Film Festival for the screening of Shudo, in the Men Shorts Program yesterday. Iām very happy I wazs able to attend, and even more because itās an LGBTQ+ festival. It was also the first time I could watch this very short film on a big screen and I think it comes out pretty strong and intense. Iām glad they chose a funny short after to release the tension. Shudo was made for our graduation exam along with To-Anh Bach and Hugo Weiss. I want to thank them again for their amazing work on it. Thanks!
