Tried to force myself past art block
TADC - Ragatha is so much more than she seems
I wonder if any of the past abstracted were close friends with Ragatha? Apart from Ribbit and Kufmo theres 4 additional abstracted humans who were not part of the OG Dev team batch of humans.
Its kind of crazy to think about, that Ragatha arrived in the circus with only Caine and a not-always-lucid Kinger for support. And then she proceeded to outlast 6 other abstracted humans. And still didn't become detached from reality, completely jaded or stop trying to care about other people. She's a very resilient person.
It does give some additional context to her feelings of having "failed" Jax and Pomni though. Woman has watched a lot of people die, and does not have the mercy of Kinger's memory fog to forget it. Thats why I can't believe her optimism and compassion is fake. Sure she buries her negative feelings and thoughts about others but that does not mean she's lying about the positive. I don't think Ragatha would have lasted as long as she has if she genuinely didn't see and believe in the good things in the circumstances and the people around her. To really find good things to believe in as reasons to keep living. Ragatha is someone who deliberately cultivates hope within herself, and tries to help others do the same. This is a woman who saw Caine didn't offer others the comfort they needed, who was not good at making them feel at home, who never had that in her own home life... and decided she would give that to others who needed it. Ragatha is flawed. She's insecure, a people pleaser desperate to be liked, not particularly skilled at reading people and is afraid of showing others her negative feelings. But I think she truly does have the strongest heart out of everyone in the circus.

Before TADC episode 8 drops, I'm curious about the fandom view on Jax and Caine. Caine from TADC has a scary level of power over the humans. He controls their reality. He even can alter people's mental state to some extent (without abstracting them that is). And no matter what you think of Caine, it is undeniable that he has hurt people with his power. And then there is Jax. Who is rather powerless in comparison to Caine. But also, whatever you think of Jax, he has also undeniably hurt people. What I am curious about is the general pre-episode 8 fandom consensus on this question:
If absolutely forced to Choose, if you were a human in The Amazing Digital Circus, who would you prefer to hold Caine's level of Power (assuming both of them would have equal knowledge of how to use it)?

I voted Jax even though I don’t think highly of him and I wanna explain why:
Jax is a Person AND a Human. However like Lazuli as said to me before during a nerd discussion, Caine is and Person but NOT A HUMAN.
While Caine does care for the people around him and is able to say so, he doesn’t understand exactly what it is that they want or why they feel the way they do about the adventures. Jax doesn’t care or at least can’t admit it but he can read people, and I think sometimes is sarcasm does point out he knows what the others actually want and mean when they say somethings.
I am assuming that in the senecio of Jax having power that means from the start, Jax is the ring master and Caine has no power or at least only as much as the humans. Not that it’s an excuse for his behaviour I think one of the main reasons Jax acts the way he does is a way of coping with the fact that he’s not in control of his own mind and if he had caines power then he would have the right to control his own mind and essentially feel like less of a prisoner, he’d still be mean and sarcastic but even still think the humans would cope better with someone who understands them and does have the ability to feel at least a little bit of sympathy.
I’m sorry, this is kind of hard to follow. You know when something is so clear in your mind but when you go to write it, it’s not actually real words?
