i have made mistakes. i have regrets. there are things i wish i could take back. but i am not just the person who made those mistakes and has those regrets. there’s a lot more to me, and there’s a lot of good too. i can’t let what i can’t go back and change fully define how i see myself.

You will remain depressed for the rest of your existence if you don’t learn to take some ownership over your life. Sometimes you do have to take calculated risks, say no and stand up to someone/something that bothers you, make the changes YOU want to see for YOUR life without requiring for external approval to do it. You cannot enjoy your life if you are dormant about your own success or commitment to happiness. Being passive is toxic, don’t let anyone trick you into thinking otherwise, be aggressive and committed to pursuing your deepest desires and go at them until they become a reality, it’s completely up to you.
