I watched LOB with my dad.
my italian dad. he never watched MP until now, and he loved it. I'm veeerry very happy about that. I missed watching Monty Python, so doing this rewatch, re-listening to "Always Look On The Bright Side of Life" and doing everything with someone who is not myself made me a lil bit melancholic idk why.
Overall he reaaally liked it and he wants to watch Holy Grail next time! I can't wait!
He also asked me something about the Pythons.
"I loved Brian's actor, how is he now?"
.....
bye.
Graham was a terrifically good actor and he had that ability to look so conventional and then do something outrageous.
[Graham] was remarkable. I remember that before we even did βPythonβ Terry [Jones] and I used to watch the βAt Last the 1948 Showβ which had John Cleese and Graham Chapman and Tim Brooke Taylor and Mary Feldman and these other people, and we were really impressed by Grahamβs stillness, he didnβt seem to be acting very hard and your eye was drawn toward him - he was just there. Thatβs rather the way Graham was generally.
When we were filming in Glencoe for βHoly Grailβ, I used to go to bed early, being the βnice oneβ of the group, and I would hear Graham standing in the corridor shouting βBetty Marsden! Betty Marsden!β On the second night it would be βBetty Marsden, Iβm on my own tonight.β By the third morning I said to Graham: βDo you mind? Iβm trying to get to sleep, so can you just keep it quiet?β So the next night itβs dead silence and no noise at all, but when I got up there was a little slip of paper shoved under my door and it said βBetty Marsdenβ.
I've always been wary of a Python reunion because we don't have Graham Chapman, who was such an important part of Python. He had his problems - he was a self-confessed alcoholic - but, God, he was a good actor and an odd, eccentric writer, too. We'd miss him if we got back together.

Especially satisfied with Graham Chapman that I drew this time.π

I have my own perspective on Terry Jones.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!
I was desperate because Monty Python wasn't on Netflix anymore. I bought the entire Flying Circus box set and all the movies on DVD....
And now IT'S ALL ON TUBI?!
Who am I kidding...Tubi isn't even available in Italy.
Great...VPN HERE I COMEEEβ

I'M BACK, I THINK, AND I HOPE!!
sorry for the
HUGE
absence.
the truth is that when I was managing this profile my life was relatively a mess, the only thing that gave me comfort were the Pythons, so during the period of improving myself and my life I let myself go and I also let this profile go.
BUT HERE I AM AGAIN
I still love the Pythons and all of you like crazy, especially my Monty Bros on Discord who I missed a lot π«Ά (I have no idea what happened on the server and I hope everything is fine lol)
I WILL TRY TO POST AGAIN FROM NOW ON
LOVE U ALL ππ«Ά
yeah it's been a while lol, but today I wanted to say this little opinion of mine. I seriously like always look on the bright side of life, even if it may seem obvious (and also the best known python song) but it has a really nice tune and really cheers me up, so I genuinely like it lol

Hereβs a cute ALA poster of Lil Animated Gray! (Ngl he looks so cute and adorable in the artstyle fr <33)
Answering to this just to saaayy...
HAPPY 12 ANNIVERSARY ALA!!
sooo, even if we have reached the end of the day, today (November 2) is the anniversary of the film adaptation of ALA, soo I want to say a few words about the latter.
This movie,I think, was the first one I've ever seen that caused me difficulty watching it, and take that as a huge compliment.
We're talking about Graham, Graham Chapman, and we know what he went through (although LUCKILY it's not just that)
Yesterday I was reading Pythons autobiography and I read about Eric saying that once during "At Last the 1948 Show" he saw Graham shaking before starting a sketch, and to calm down he immediately had to drink something, and reading this made me take a BIG breath and a big 20 minute break from my reading.
I don't know, maybe it's because he's my favorite or maybe it's just because I feel that many of his problems are very close to me, but Graham is the Python who makes me feel the most emotions of all, so you understand that when I saw this film I felt EVERYTHING.
I love how they reported every single topic, giving it the right silliness or harshness (honorable mention for the wonderful relationship between David and Gray ofc.)
So I think ALA is a wonderful mess, a bit like Graham, the various styles of animations are mixed while all kinds of topics are treated in the silliest way possible, so while watching you often say "Wow wtf is happening"
They always said about Graham: "He would say something wonderful and then go back to his own world."
I think this is the beauty, the beauty of Graham and this film.
So no matter how peculiar or harsh it may be, please watch ALA.
Happy birthday John Cleese!
yeah John, you are who you are, but we still love you π«Άπ»
