Not sure how to use this account
Talking to a friend over on bsky earlier about my issues in using Tumblr. Genuinely, I don't understand this platform. It has a lot to do with not putting in the time to learn it. Coming from Twitter and it being my primary soc-med until I got off it in...2023? was it? Whatever year mustard face bought it. After that, I just haven't found a platform that I've jived with really.
So, while working on my websites, I found a button to force-send my posts to various social medias and figured I'd just hook up my tumblr to them and let them run. It's probably not the ideal method. I don't think it adds the right tags to it, so it's more a matter of people stumbling onto them.
One of my big issues right now is the prevalence of bots and people pushing scams or even AI based services that have made me wary of interactions. That's probably not the healthy mindset to have, I just don't feel like devoting the bandwidth to it. Know what I mean?
So, for now, I'm just letting my webnovels, travels, and book reviews slow load on here and not going to worry much about interactions. It gives me the anxieties...
I am NOT looking for beta readers. My webnovels aren't being posted to look for the service. I'm just trying to drive traffic to my site so people can read my wacky little fluff books. They're free to read. I don't even have kofi or other tipping services attached to it, because I don't want to mess with taxes and income right now, so I'm not paying for the services. Maybe the webnovels have sagging middles and are a bit wordy here and there. I'm okay with that. They're growing organically and I'm finally having fun writing again. So, if you feel like offering advice in order to market a service to me...please don't. And if you're going to take a chapter and do a full beta breakdown: I'm going to believe you're a scammer, utilizing AI, and/or are a rude individual who hasn't discovered social boundaries yet.
I don't substantive and developmental edit random authors. That would be creepy, inappropriate, and invasive. When I offer those services, it's to people who are outright asking for that service to begin with.
