While doing a nature hike at a nature center, the teacher had us do this thing where we put our hands on our head like fox ears and my friend who is not an alterhuman said “*name* that would be your real ears”
My other friend who is also not an alterhuman said that I was a “space boy” (gender euphoria AND species (?) euphoria with that one)
Same friend said “you may have fooled them into being human!! But not me!!! I knew from the start!!” (Meaning before I even knew btw)
I showed a friend my Pinterest acc with a bunch of therian related things and she didn’t even blink
I got insanely intense phantom wings for like 3 days straight

i've seen too much of this in the alterhuman/therian/otherkin/whatever we are community so I'm going to address it.
I am in no way educated in therianthropy. I'm a therian, sure, but I don't know if shifts are good or bad, I spent two years figuring out my theriotype, I fake claim myself for not liking one of my kintypes more than the other. So I'm not the best resource.
But, guys. Or mammals, or reptiles, or birds, or dragons, or whatever the hell you are (/aff). We HAVE to stop giving each other hate because of stupid things.
"Stupid" things would be making fun of people who want "unusual" gear, have a bunch of contradicting kintypes, made up their kintypes, don't have gear, do quads, can't do quads, love it, hate it, identify as an animal physically etc. The list goes on.
Therianthropy is different for every creature experiencing it. We can't fake claim eachother because their experience isn't like ours. For example, take me and my partner. I love dog shifting. They hate cat shifts with a burning passion. Neither of us are more or less valid. We're both therians. We just have different experiences.
Please, for the love of everything- STOP. You, as important and godlike you may think you are (no offense to angel/godkin of course :) ) don't define 'normal' therianthropy. It's childish and stupid. Be mature. I'm pretty sure that random creature you're sending hate to on the internet knows what they are due to PERSONAL EXPERIENCE and has enough dysmorphia without you telling them they're invalid.
Of course there are 'fake' therians, but I'm not going into that.
Literally all you have to say is "Oh, that's different from me but really cool! Tell me more!" Stop with the "i'm a therian but i'm normal lol" IT PISSES ME OFF.
