Assistance Please - [Changmin&Kahi]
curiosity kills the cat.
good thing i’m not a cat. oh, and already dead. kahi thought to herself as she slunk around in the shadows. she had been wandering around aimlessly, looking for something to keep her mind occupied when she had spotted a strange sight, strange even for what she had seen since her death. he was a handsome man, she had to give him that; his dark hair and boyish face would certainly attract anyone, though it wasn’t his good looks that piqued her curiosity. despite looking like he belonged on the streets of busan his attire raised a red flag. older styled clothing that looked to be either a very well done Halloween costume donned a bit too early or a bizarre attempt to seem more refined. a muffled laugh escaped her lips as her eyes floated to the most interesting part of his outfit; bunny slippers. it was amusing to say the least. her son had given up his pair a year before her death, firmly stating that no real man would ever be caught in them, especially when their mother had a matching pair.
she let out a small chuckle, thinking of how things used to be. he was so small when she died, barely making it to her waist and now he was as tall as the mysterious stranger that was in front of her……. or was in front of her. where did he go? casting one last glance behind her, she hurried after the man confused as he headed down a dark alley. where was he going? this was all so peculiar. he seemed so polished and refined and here he was, walking down a dark alley, looking as shady as the men who had killed her. she watched him, her eyes narrowing as he reached the dead end with purpose.
it was quite amusing, what working in a old shack at the bottom of an alleyway consisted of. the main reason shim changmin opted for it was, above all; privacy, and luckily enough, he could get that. over the course of changmin's time in busan, rumors began to spread through the town about that 'creepy old shack' (changmin would beg to differ; it was rather cosy), and soon enough changmin adapted the nickname 'busan's trapdoor spider'. the vampire chuckled as he made his way through the door of his beloved lab. the stories gave people a reason to not wonder near the place.
once the warmth hit against his skin, changmin didn't bother fighting back a yawn, and processed to take his place in his favorite chair at his desk. he sat there in silence for a while, before letting his gaze wonder round the state of his lab. the vampire frowned. somehow (though it was always), several stacks of paper seemed to have gave way off balance, and crashed in a huge heap on the floor. on top of that-- a few bottles had their contents seeking through the lid, and threatening to spread their toxic everywhere.
with another yawn (this time ending in a large groan), shim changmin lazily brought himself out of the comfort of his chair, and began to carelessly pick up a small collection of papers. somehow he seemed to make a bigger mess than before. "i'm too tired to do anything right now.." he muttered to no one. picking up a small bottle of-- whatever it was, changmin couldn't tell. the writing on the label having become faded, and let it roll across his desk without a thought.

♡ Just another check up // Changmin & Soohyuk
Her skin was soft as silk, her blood thick, hot, metallic as it flowed down his throat—warming him, building a need in his body, a craving in his mind that overwhelmed his senses and set his dead soul ablaze. His fingers threaded through her hair, tangling in her raven locks as pained cries tinged with lust-like urgency hit his ears like battering rams, vibrating through his body as his teeth sunk deeper into her flesh and her pulse mixed with his own.

knock knock.
the vampire took a look towards the door of his lab, across the room; peering slightly over his glasses. he set down a series of work sheets, bringing out his left arms to roll his leave up, and glance at the display of time on his watch. a light chuckle soon left his lips. as expected, he was just on time.
changmin took no time in going cross the threshold of his lab, and slightly cracking his door open for the other. a set of high fences cut off any praying eyes from any bystanders, but changmin was never sure. once he made eye contact with soohyuk, he turned around, and paraded his way back into his large, leather desk chair. hoping it indicated the other to follow suit.
"soohyuk. always nice to see you." changmin gleamed, kicking back his feet as he sunk himself into the old chair; hands clasped together. although him and soohyuk went way back, changmin's way of speaking to him in this setting, never differed from anyone else. "how have you been, since we last spoke?"

`--- sweet nostalgia
(` she allows her shoulders to rise and fall in a small shrug, not really knowing if she should address it directly like she debated on or not. she eventually just leaves it to the air and instead watches his reactions and his words, his changmin was certainly a lot weirder than the one who set his pet spider loose in her house because he enjoyed her terror with it. ) Yeah…I figured might as well come a long to see you. (` a hint of eeriness hitting her when he called her his sarang —though she was careful to not let it show, there would be none of that until she figured he knew she was Tiffany again. )
(` dark orbs dart up as he moves from his chair in a fast yet still somewhat graceful and haphazard way, following his movements until she feared he’d be dizzy and looked to the book case instead. ) Yeah, I can do that. (` there was a small moment where the same tingles ripped up her arm from the source in her palm as he touched her and she had to resist the urge to rub her hand furiously against her pants to get rid of it, moving from her seat and escaping to the confines of the bookshelf to let her eyes roam over it. Book….book…hm… (` apparently there was something he needed here that she was supposed to know? it was a bit pressuring before she finally settled on one of the larger tomes, stretching on her toes to get it as it was far above her head and approaching the other cautiously, holding it out like an offering ) Here you go?
(` the smile left his eyes, though luckily he still managed to keep it across his lips. time had changed; it was evident. she was no longer his assistant. she couldn't be, was more the point. though changmin, being himself, tried to justify having her far was for the greater good. he wouldn't figure out why, but something seemed to be telling him that.) well, you should, and more often. i think i'm finally onto something--
(` stopped mid sentence to peer at the book she held to him. he frowned, eyes flickering in a light of confusion, later quickly turning into amusement. ) sarang, dear--- you don't remember what i'm working on? (` eyebrows knitted together, this time he took his time in studying her face. his sarang was intelligent, but the one in front of him had him figuring if she was playing a practical joke on him. the male shifted himself towards the bookcase, where she was a few moments ago, and trailed his long, thin fingers along the row of book spines; finally stopping on a old, thick book. it had seen better days.) this one--- (` breaks his smile to let a light chuckle pass his lips.) it doesn't matter though. i'm not bothered with work right now... how about we go for some tea?
