"Lex, champion of Themis" *They bow*

"Lovely to meet you Lex." *a beat of silence* "Why do you suppose we were chosen? I didn't do much of anything champion worthy while I was alive"

"I don't know. But let's say that my goddness does accept human sacrifices for my death"

*they look shocked for a moment but quickly school their features* "Well I can't say the same about Auxo, the only remotely champion-like thing I did was die"

"Hm, it's weird. Why were we all chosen?"

"I can't say for sure, the gods work in mysterious ways" *they just now notice the blindfold* "Oh! Do you need me to tell you where we are, describe it?"

"Please. With or without blindfold won't matter for me. I'm blind either way"

"we're on the riverbank, I'm practically standing in the river, it winds a lot, a bit hard to navigate from the bank, the bridge is in the distance"

"Of course" *they nod even though Lex can't see them*

*They straighten again* "What do you look like?"

"Oh, mousy brown hair, relatively long, simple, orangey toga, teal eyes, I think I'm relatively tan but I've heard otherwise"

"I actually forgot what I look like, but I think I'm pretty tan too"

"I'd say you are, more than I am"

"Hm, dark brown hair, navy blue eyes" *They take off the blindfold. Light blue cloudy eyes*

"Your eyes are light blue, it's a pretty color"

"Oh, guess they changed when I became blind"

"Seems so" *they glanced around, seeming nervous, letting that emotion be visable sense Lex couldn't see it*

"Being blind isn't great. But my other senses are stronger"

"Mhm, true. I had been blind for years before my death" *Lex touches the scar over one of their eye for a second*

"I lived relatively normally, as normal as a soldier could"

"You were a soldier?"

"I was, I was apart of the mutiny, you can guess how well that went for me"

"Ah, not well"

"Very, I'm not sure how it went after I died, most likely it was crushed, I was one of the masterminds behind it" *they sound proud of themself*

"I never really heard of those things. They just never told me"

"They try to cover up failed mutinies, when soldiers rebel it's a sign of a divided military"

"I was barely told anything anyway"

*they shrugged then remembered Lex can't see* "It is quite weird, we thought we deserved more than we got"

"Never the less it doesn't change what became of me, I'm back, and I plan to get home"

"I do" *they held up a woven wreath of bright, long blades of grass* "A woven wrist cuff, made of grass, it won't fall apart unless cut"

"Is it something you can share properly?" *Lex takes out a sword charm that matches the scale on their necklace*

"Yes, I have a similar one, the charm is beautiful"

"I think we exchange these to show our alliance?"
