 From ridiculous to heartbreaking, these are some of the comments dark skinned women still encounter in their everyday life.

Black people are tired. They’re not only getting oppressed every single day, bullied because of their skin color, treated like animals and experiencing racism every day, it even gets worse when it’s about the darker shades of skin color. Especially for women. It is hard to constantly hear comments like these. People don’t understand or refuse to understand that it’s offensive to say those things. We need to talk about this problem more to make people acknowledge it and stop this madness.

Another black man who called for assistance and instead of getting helped he was greeted with force #ReginaldThomas

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department was called to the scene around 4 a.m. to investigate the death in the 200 block of Orange Grove Boulevard.

At the scene of sheriff’s homicide investigation, a woman who identified herself as the mother of the man’s children sobbed as she described seeing the man die in front of her.  Shainie Lindsay identified him as Reginald Thomas, 36, saying they have four children together and that she is pregnant with a fifth.

“He called the police on himself. He wanted help,”

Late Friday morning, sheriff’s homicide Capt. Steven Katz spoke at a chaotic scene outside the apartment complex, where neighbors and reporters asked for details.

One man shouted at him, asking for his job description and another repeating “stop sacrificing black men.” Others angrily yelled at officers.

“They was wrestling with him, was kicking him in the head and beating him with the baton stick,” Lindsay said, crying. “Then, after that, they was doing CPR and then he was dead.”

He was a good father, and they didn’t have to kill him,” she said. “He just wanted help. He didn’t want to die.

At least 25 people were injured Saturday evening in a loud explosion on 23rd Street in Manhattan’s busy Chelsea neighborhood, authorities said. None of the injuries appear to be life-threatening.

Officials said the explosion occurred near 23rd Street and 6th Avenue at 8:30 p.m, police said. The NYPD’s Counterterrorism Unit also responded to the scene.

Corey Johnson, a New York City councilman for the affected neighborhood told NY1 he is aware of about a dozen people who suffered minor injuries in the area.

The explosion, he told the news station, occurred from inside dumpster.

“Explosion was extraordinarily loud, people could hear it blocks and blocks away, avenues away,” Johnson said. “I would assume it was a very sizable and significant explosion.”

FBI and Homeland Security agents have responded to the area, he said.

Video posted from people in the area also showed what appeared to be FBI agents searching the area with flashlights.

Officials were searching for other possible devices, Johnson said.

People near the area reported hearing the loud explosion, some saying they heard the loud bang blocks away from its source.

The loud bang was reported hours after an explosion occurred in Seaside Park, New Jersey, where a charity race was expected to pass through.
