WHAT IS YOUR OTP FOR YOUR CHARACTER?: Luna/Chemistry. This is the biggest factor when it comes to writing a ship with me to any extent. If I had to name one, however, LuNyx is up there but I prefer to explore. 

WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO WRITE WHEN IT COMES TO SHIPPING?: Damn near anything. I want to see something realistic where they have to work through arguments and problem solve together. Something with substance to it - a story, preferably.

HOW LARGE DOES THE AGE GAP HAVE TO BE TO MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE?: If the two are of consenting age and are both okay with what’s going on then it’s fine. The same goes for muns, if we’re both okay with it and we agree to do it, that’s good. I’m pretty easy going on this.

ARE YOU SELECTIVE WHEN SHIPPING?: For Luna, yes. My Prompto, he’s a different story. Since Luna’s blog is low activity and a difficult muse to ship, I’m going to be more selective with who I hand her over to. I’ll thread and do random stuff with people all day but romantically shipping her? That’s gonna require some communication, plotting, and a good amount of trust. 

HOW FAR DO STEAMY MOMENTS HAVE TO GO BEFORE THEY ARE CONSIDERED NS/FW?: I generally tag if things are getting steamy while they’re talking as a precaution and don’t untag until they have their clothes back on. Never hurts to be wary.

WHO ARE OTHER THE CHARACTERS YOU SHIP YOUR CHARACTER WITH?: I haven’t thought about many. Luna/Prompto could be cute. Same with Luna/Cindy or Luna/Aranea. I’m a little curious about Luna/Loqi and some non-FFXV fandom characters.

DOES ONE HAVE TO ASK TO SHIP WITH YOU?: Not really, I’ll generally pick up on it. I’d like to say that I’d prefer to be asked for Luna in particular but it’s not required. She’s a bit harder to see shipping all the time but I’ll try anything once with her.

HOW OFTEN DO YOU LIKE TO SHIP?: Hm. Luna’s a great character and there’s a lot that can be done with her, I just don’t think she would give her heart out to just anyone. She’s like my Prompto in that.

ARE YOU SHIP OBSESSED OR SHIP MORE-OR-LESS?: A healthy amount - not too many, not too few. That sort of thing.

ARE YOU MULTISHIP?: For the moment, yes. I may get a little more strict later on but I mostly come to Luna’s blog to chill and get things done at a slower pace than my main one.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE SHIP IN YOUR CURRENT FANDOM?: Ohman. I ship a lot of things. Right now, maybe Gladnis for the moment? This answer is different depending on the day tbh.

In Depth Headcanon Prompts | Accepting: “☾ : On a sleepless night, what would they be found doing?”

Wandering as she pleases. Luna doesn’t sleep well at all so these nights are quite often for her. On the rare occasion that she’s able to leave her rooms, she generally walks around and sees what she can. This can include watching the news, digging around in the pantry, walking among the flower garden, talking to Pryna and Umbra, even so far as to  leave a hotel she’s in to explore in a hoodie. 

Teas and herbal remedies hardly ever work for her to get her to sleep. They work for her pain and fatigue but little else. It’s frustrating to her that she can’t simply grab a bottle of whatever medication is closest, down it, and be asleep within minutes like most normal people. Her medications are usually smuggled to her anyway, so anything like a painkiller or sleeping aid would be just as difficult to get.

1) Do you prefer writing angst threads over fluff threads? 

Yes. Fluff gets boring after a while. I’ve noticed that people tend to stall with fluff and the story doesn’t move hardly at all. The characters tend to just lay around in bed all fucking day talking or doing as little as possible. At least with angst, they’re moving around, having fights, taking through things, and doing stuff they’re not normally shown with fluff-only. 

The same can be said about angst though. You get too much going at once and there’s confusion on what the hell’s happening. So, really, I think I’d prefer action/adventure. A good mix of it all with a good plot to keep things going. It’s why I like to have contact with people I’m threading with, that way I know what’s okay to do and what directions work.

2) Do you like horror plots?

Sure do. I get annoyed with a lot of newer horror things though. Just a bunch of screaming and jumpscares half the time. Nothing really going on but being chased through dark alleys and shit like that. Again, give me a plot. 

A happened and caused B but C is happening and A is the entire reason why X character is in trouble to begin with while Z character is focused on fixing B and C. So X character needs to get with the fucking program and help Z so they can get through B and C because A doesn’t matter anymore. Their goal is to get to D but let’s see how many road block and potential development points we can stick in this sucker.

3) What is your favorite thing about writing dark plots?

The development. Everyone loves the light and fluffy shit, that’s fine, that’s their preference, but I’ve always enjoyed the darker things because it pulls something out of the muse. Every time I’ve thrown a muse into a dark plot, there’s been information about the character that I’ve not known before come up.

‘But Ripley, you can do that and not have some dark, edgy bullshit happen to your muse.’ 

Sure I can, but it won’t be nearly as interesting, will it? Throw Luna on to a ship, have the ship be rerouted during the night to freezing waters, have the boat be trapped in meters thick ice and the rest of the crew and passengers have to fight to survive/get the boat free. What can I learn about her then? What can my partner learn about their character? Who got the boat stuck? Are they ever going to get back? What kind of damage/new fears are going to come up as a result?

4) Are there any angsty subjects you won’t write about?

No. Before anyone yells about rape or CSA, I’m a victim of both and I don’t romanticize that kind of shit. Never have before and I never will. 

As for Luna herself, I’ll never write her being romantic with Ravus. Not only is there too much negativity between them, they’re also related and I’m not a big fan of Lannister-ing these two. Anything else is fair game, I’ll write it and tag it but I won’t put it under a Read More unless it’s exceptionally violent (think of Hostel scenes, Saw, etc). 

5) What is the darkest or scariest plot you’ve ever written?

★ - sad headcanon

Luna has a difficult time relating to her brother in many ways. Their mother kept them apart for reasons that Luna never came to understand and, after her mother’s death, she kept it up out of habit. Until she found out that her brother was working for Niflheim, she had little to no ill will towards him. 

Now, as she’s grown older, she finds herself bitter toward Ravus. Luna understands that his position as High Commander means that he’ll have little to no time for her but, at one point, she genuinely wanted to learn more about her brother and how to be proper siblings with him. It wasn’t until the night of the treaty signing that those feelings stopped. 

Luna felt that she’d seen her brother’s true form that night and she knew that, to some capacity, she never actually had a brother as most people do. Name and blood only - never anything as soft or warm as other siblings could be. In fact, Luna never would have expected him to cry at her passing. She always believed that he would be relieved to know she’d died for any reason. 

■ -  Bedroom/house/living quarters headcanon

Her living quarters are particularly private. Inviting someone to her bedroom is a sign that she trusts someone. Should she ever find anyone unintived, they’ll be met with a quick anger and the door in their face in seconds. 

Luna rarely lets anyone other than Gentiana, Ravus, Umbra, and Pryna in her bedroom. Servants and Maids are required to let her know when they’ll be in her room and they must knock. For her, she believes that her room should be the one place where she may be as natural as possible. The entire world knows her and her business, she wants just one place where she can let herself just... exist. 

It’s clean. Tidy. She rarely leaves things out in the open and locks things up that she wants to keep private. Aside from the notebook shared with Noctis, Luna has her own where she writes down everything. No holding back. Every thought and feeling is written down in this book. She burns them periodically as a release of these emotions and feelings - to let herself get everything out as she needs.

I’ve considered it several times, yes. Do Arrancars count? If we’re talking full-on monster, then I’ve been looking at Xenomorphs for years. Now, if you mean just a monstrously dark character, that answer is also yes. 

Thought about picking up Bahamut before, any part of the franchise. Dragons are a weakness of mine. Dracula or some form of him came up before. I did have a Lucifer muse for a while but then I stopped watching the show. Had a Sephiroth but I got bored with the ‘omg insane 25/8′ shit real quick (plus people getting up in his face all the time).

Anger

Despite being seen as a pure and untouched being, Luna still gets angry just like anyone else. Shocking, right? There are several instances in Kingsglaive where she’s been mouthy, stubborn, and rude but usually only to those she feels deserve it. That list is particularly short and Luna has a good enough hold on her emotions that they don’t always hit people other than who she’s angry with. 

Her anger can be seen with narrowed eyes. A cold gaze. Not speaking. Short, rough, and curt answers while speaking only when she absolutely needs to. She’s been known to passive aggressively serve people ice cold tea and stale biscuits before, especially if she doesn’t like the person. She’ll take quite a bit before she’ll ever become violent. 

Violence

For violence itself, Luna has been known to attack out of self defense. As movie events go, she encouraged Luche Lazarus to put the ring on, resulting in his death. Previously, she’d seen what it did to Ravus and knew damn well what she was doing. 

While in Fenestala, she has been known to carry a knife around with her when she knows that Caligor is in the manor. After a few run-ins with him, she learned to make sure she had protection in some form - once, she threw boiling water on him to get him out of her personal space.

Her empathy. Luna can’t watch movies with awkward scenes in them because she starts getting secondhand embarrassment but this goes a bit deeper than just movies. There are times, when she’s healing or having a conversation, that she starts to feel more than she should. 

For her, sadness breeds sadness. Anger starts building. Despair brings her down. This is why she believes that if she can make someone hope as much as she does, it’ll start a chain reaction.
