This is a concept artwork of one of my ardynoct RP and HC characters: Ardyn’s jealous relative (in the RP it’s his half-brother) and Noctis’ ancestor who built a magic wall around ancient Insomnia as the first King of Lucis after Ardyn had been erased from history.

Fragments of his soul were distributed among his royal successors of the Lucian bloodline for 2000 years. He awakes with the Chosen One’s birth, slowly erases Noctis’ counsciousness to replace it with his own, making Noctis, who loves Ardyn, losing control of himself. The jealous King is a tragic sadist, manipulated by Bahamut, as he ultimately seeks for Ardyn’s suffering and destruction. His intention is to purge Eos from demons and to rule the world alongside the Gods to become one himself eventually.

This update is … Even more useless than I expected it to be.

We don’t need Luna crying over Noctis and saying she loves him so much (again). We don’t need Noctis regretting that he never even bothered to stay by her side when she needed the most and he could actually do something about it (again). We knew this already. This is not development.

If they are really so in love, we need to SEE IT. Like, you know. Meeting each other? Talking in person? Doing stuff together? Writing to each other more than just one sentence at time?

What are updates for if they don’t give us this?

I don't find the appeal in ardynoct but I respect your right to ship whatever to your hearts content. This applies to any pairing for any fandom really so long as people respect each other's personal tastes. As long as its not some nasty shit like pedophilia or bestiality (gotta draw a line somewhere)

We'll never know what stella could've been but I liked the idea of a shakespear-ish tragic fight ala star crossed lovers scenario. No interesting female villain since ultimecia and a reluctant anti-villain/possible lover would be new territory for square. Instead we got luna in all her boring glory :(

I really would like to know what Stella was like in both character and plot. I don’t believe SE when they say they told the story of Versus in FFXV. The entire setting of Versus looked super different back there. (also Stella could use a cellphone while Luna had magical dogs?? and books? and flowers?? and some shitty astral to confess her love to Noctis when they are all living in a modern world, like??? Eh…eeeehhh…idk…)

ffxv dropped alot of content that could have improved things considerably. 7 yrs of dev hell and 3 yrs of actual dev will do that to a game eh?

Many of those things from the updates should've been in the game at its release like switching party members and off-road Regalia. I quit playing after Ep Prompto, because there was hardly anything new to enjoy. (especially if you have explored all of Lucis and Niflheim by armiger glitch before lol...)

Luna was in alot of promotional material including a "back to back ready to fight pose" with Noctis. She's barely in the game at all doesn't actually fight. False advertising much?

Yeah, I agree. She only used that fucking trident to poke Levianthan's nostrils and as a crutch because she was oh so weakened. False advertising all the way, fuck Luna/freya. Worst written character in this game.
