sometimes you hear people say oh no one is thinking about you like that or no one notices the small peculiars you don’t like about yourself. and sometimes you’re sitting at work talking about your cramps and how being a woman sucks bc we still have to work and bleed through it and then someone starts talking about your hormones and mentions those little peculiars you absolutely hate about yourself and you feel so so exposed and bare and embarrassed that it wasn’t just in your head and people are actually noticing the things you hate about yourself and noticing them and seeing them as issues. you sit and you smile through it as they give you suggestions on how to fix yourself. and any ounce of good you felt about yourself just disappears
