How does (or would) your OC text? How's their grammar? How is their use of capitilization, punctuation, and spelling? Do they use emoticons, emojis, reaction images, or GIFs? If so, how often, and which ones?

Do they use internet slang and/or abbreviations? Are they a dry texter or do they type a lot? How expressive are they in their text? How much time do they spend on one message?

Do they prefer typing on a keyboard, phone, some larger touch screen, or speech to text? How much does their texting vary depending on their mood, energy levels, who they're talking to, or the subject being discussed, if it varies at all?

Tell me everything!!! Or answer only one question: don't stress yourself out :D

#i have a few ocs who i've got specific quirks for in these areas so i'm going to focus on them rather than doing full sets or my faves #freck types out full words instead of contractions so he doesn't have to switch to the symbols screen to get the apostrophe #he has autocorrect and autocaps off but is pretty accurate with his typing and spelling. he usually uses proper punctuation.#he's not much of an emoji user. might drop some basic ones in apps with reactions; but he doesn't like navigating extra screens so not much #jesse types in a very expressive way. will do all caps and (try to do) italics and uses emoticons and emojis.#whether or not he uses proper grammer is inconsistent. he also doesn't do much proofreading or back editing he just types and sends.#alexander mostly uses proper grammar with the exception of omitting periods on single phrase messages. proofreads and retypes a lot.#he doesn't use many emojis / emoticons and when he does it's usually basic ones like :) / 🙂 nothing super creative or specific #jayeola varies her formality level. messaging friends she isn't super on top of punctuation or capitalization (though has autocaps on)#with parents or in serious convos she uses correct grammar. also in captions. text posted *on* an image she prioritizes style over grammar.#and she likes emojis. she will drop specific relevant ones or use them for aesthetic.#eileen does not care about grammar. she'll proofread for typos (and has autocorrect on) but doesn't always use apostrophes or commas #and doesn't consistently capitalize except for emphasis. she likes ''cool'' emojis like 😎 🔥 also 🏎 but will use what the situ. calls for.#sam generally texts with a good balance of ''enough grammar to be comprehensible'' and ''still casual and informal.''#he's also good at keeping up with emoji trends and text slang (and also memes and stuff but that's starting to branch into a new area)#wes types all lowercase but otherwise generally uses proper grammar. maybe omits apostrophes sometimes and periods on single phrase messages #he's more likely to use all caps than exclamation marks for yelling/emphasis. sometimes uses kaomoji nd would use ASCII if he was good at it #*says i won't do full sets of OCs* *proceeds to do a full set* (in my defense they all text and it's in the story so i have ideas for them)#moriah is a very excitable texter and she likes to use repeated punctuation like !!!!! and loves emoticons. absolutely uses text slang.#percy uses all small letters and sparse punctuation but her spelling is very good #sherla uses mostly all lowercase and a TON of abbreviation and shorthand. she prefers to send big messages over multiple short ones #but she will send update messages as well. like will live text a situation.#the texts will be like ''a said this b said this a said this'' not ''a said this'' ''b said this'' ''a said this''#okay that's enough #oc talk
